Yes was expecting 2-1 in favour of WI (may be 1-2 close matches). Not saying Npl can beat good sides regularly but they have good combinations of allrounder 3-4 allrounders and they too bat deep a good set-up for t20s.

Nepal almost beat RSA in the 24 T20 WC, lost by 1 run IIRC, outplayed them but choked in the end. 

 

Will be good to have another strong team from Asia. Nepalese people are very passionate about cricket, their crowds for a recent league (Dhawan played that) were very good, organic growth of the sport there.

Nepalis need to integrate more Gorkhas into cricket. 

They will be seriously quick and would have insane stamina to be best fielding side in Asia and compete with SENA sides 

 

For T20 format that's all it takes to be a competitive side.   Few decent hitters as well for them

Pahadi people in general have strong lungs and legs. Nepal has great history/culture in climbing sports, which is as tough as it can get physically. Gorkhas are some of the fiercest fighters one can find, despite their small stature. 

 

Nepal will develop into a very athletic side, and will show in fielding. They can be to cricket was South Korea has been to hockey historically speaking. Blitz speed, endurance....and planning/structure/tactics to make up for lack of skills. No reason why they can't be a mid tier team in 20 years time, India/BCCI should help them out.

Watching these associates only makes me appreciate 'tiny' Sri Lanka more. Their meterioc rise in 90s in the middle of a brutal civil war where even their national capital wasn't safe...their swashbuckling style and fearlessness even in front of Aussies , greatest story in cricket.

Npl team was in Ind playing Assam, and also played a local t20 tournament in Aus which had some of Aus academy teams and Pak-A and Bd-A.

series 2-1 in favour of npl, this is similar kind of SL- series that Ind lost where they sent some of the players who did decently in IPL to SL and the main team was in Eng (not 100% on this) for test.

 

And Ind also lost 2-1 to Sl after winning 1 game by good margin, over-rating their 2nd tier player and massively underrating opp.
