Nobody stopped other bozos to score runs. Edited October 26, 2025 by putrevus

That is the point, if two who carry the team to finals or semifinals fail, others are allowed to score some runs too. Cannot depend on same two people to do the job every match. Roko failed in first two matches does not mean others should not score runs.

Nobody stopped other bozos to score runs. They won remaining unbeaten and going 3-0 against Pak, which nobody has ever done. We all recall the team under Kohli who laid an egg against a poor Pak team in 2017 CT where your hero couldn't even beat them twice in the same tourney. Plus winning a final with 5 wkts with 2 balls to spare is a comfortable win in T20s. I would take it any day of the day instead of laying eggs in tourneys and blaming "30 mins of bad luck" or "one bad day" or "one poor session" which we repeatedly heard from the so called "King" who failed non-stop for a decade and was the reason for our "lost decade" where we went trophyless. This fanboy's hero couldn't win jackshyte for more than a decade and he's taking shots at youngsters for winning and beating Pak thrice coz the final was "close"
Prabhdeep Singh Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 (edited) The bigger question is why did rest of the batting line up failed, surely by now they should be playing the main act rather than the supporting act. Edited October 26, 2025 by Prabhdeep Singh

Nikhil_cric Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 Sadly, they turned into Doink and Dink when we played in Australia
Chakdephatte Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 Was easy to bat in first 20 overs. Kohli did well to score well after that. Rondu 1
zen Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 The issue is that they can show good touch here and there (a candle flickers hardest when about to be extinguished) but may turn duds in 2027. A call should only be taken at the time of the ODI World Cup. I think focusing on one format + IPL will keep them relatively fresh, allowing them to work on their fitness and form, while reducing burnout. BacktoCricaddict and nevada 1 1

helperononline Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 Actually break from test and T20 cricket seem to have done good to them. They should be der to guide our junior and ensure smooth transition in ODI Cricket.
Tillu Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 Don't even want to imagine what would happen after these two stalwarts retire. We will be back to the 90s and BCCI will become a big laughing stock in front of the whole world.
cricketfan28 Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 Youngstars should get all the guidance they can from these two.
cricketfan28 Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 2027 is still doubt for me. nevada and Manucrick 2
Stan AF Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 Both are still the best ODI batters in the country by a long mile. Miles ahead, in fact.
Bigg Brother Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 Kohli made my day after difficult last few weeks.. Truly GOAT...

And there won't be any viable replacements as we wouldn't have tried any.Two years is too long a time to be banking on oldies and shutting the door on youngsters! I would pick Ro-Ko only for part of the series and try out other options in the remaining games. zen 1
