wtf they were 235/8. how are they still batting and how have they taken a lead?

Macha Muthusamy is making poyz cry lol.

Thanx a ton for creating this thread.   If SA draws the series 1-1, you will get 5 kg of Malai Rabdi ordered from my end.  :winky:

Can't blame Rabada for Muthu not scoring a century because he was just blocking the balls all this while.

Muthu can't hit. He is a decent batsman but not a hitter. He was doing ok rotating strike. Rabada can block and hit. He could have easily rotated strike and taken the lead beyond 100. He isn't a no. 11 for sure.

More like a no 8/no 9. Only playing 11 here because of the all rounders and Maharaj.

one area the saffers have a decided advantage over us is that their bowlers can bat while Bumrah, kuldeep and Siraj suck, that could be the difference in a tight series next month

Yeah. Bumrah has the potential. Kuldeep can hold one end of needed but they don't want to.

Bumrah is a certified rabbit these days... Siraj has shown improvement on the other hand.

Has worked on his batswing and defence.

Arshdeep has a bat swing like Rabada but lacks power.  But can be worked upon.  He has potential.

Rabada is a gem, always contributes in some manner. That test in Centurion last year, they were 99/8 chasing 150 against Pooks, Rabada scored a swashbuckling, clutch 31*(26) to book their spot in the final.

Hope he is at his best against us in December, like 2000 Donald, 2008/10 Steyn.

Again this RSA side proving why they won the WTC, despite limitations they have great fighting spirit. Now go finish the job.

RSA would have won this series 2-0 if not for tosses going against them, toss is so important on these pitches where batting is easy only on day 1.

RSA comeback win bodes well for the Ind series. World champs and world number 2 vs this young, rising Indian side. Both have a great chance to qualify to next WTC F. Even King Bavuma will be back :yahoo:, gonna be an epic series, Rabada vs Jaiswal/KL, Maharaj/Harmer vs our MO, RSA batting as well is gritty, much better than what their stats suggest.

After today's win (barring any miracle), RSA will be 11-1 in their last 12 completed tests, insane run. They also convincingly whitewashed Toygers in last cycle, much better than 2015-22 RSA teams in SC. Maharaj, Harmer, Muthuswamy is a gun spin trio (and Markram is as good as Phillips who troubled us last year) and they bat till number 11...Rabada their #11 is better than our bottom 3.

Even the venues will suit RSA, Kolkata is always pace friendly and with early starts, moisture in wicktes will be there.

RSA have fought so hard this test, from losing positions. Lost a crucial toss, still kept fighting, admirable.

Two Indian origin guys leading the way, to secure a famous win in Pakistan during Diwali time, makes it sweeter.
