RSA has selected rookie squads for the ODI and T20I series, building bench strength having secured qualification to both the ODI and T20I WCs. Guys like Babar, Rizwan, Shaheen, Tepiya can statpad and all will be well for that delusional country.

Pak have won one series at home in the last 4 years - the one vs England.

That too England were ambushed because they had brought over a team for flat pitches like 2022 and their entire composition had issues when the pitches changed.

More than personnel, their Bazball approach won't work on rank turners or greentops. And they are too arrogant to see that.

That is why I don't see them making a WTC final in near future.

NZ will pummel Pooks next year, almost won last time they toured (0-0 draw on pattas) and that Pak was more in-form.

They don't have any "easy" series.

WI have improved with Seales-Shamar. Bangladesh always decent at home.

Pook hv lost this test.  But pook fans hv a lot to cheer about today.  Ind will face double disasters today.   Both our Men & Women are destined to be humiliated today with precision. LOL

Decent squad tbh.. don't see Pakistan beating these guys either.  These guys were huffing and puffin against Afg and BD.. heck UAE.

If they roll out flat decks.. they will be thrashed

In ODIs they may win the series but SA T20I side looks okay.  Klassen is only big miss.  Rabada doesn't plays Outside ICC events like Jansen.

Burger Coetzee, Ngidi Maphaka is a decent pace attack.

Despite losing the toss they would have won 1st test if Maharaj were playing. Pakistanis deep in their hearts know this. Minnow team, useless in all facets.

Keshav Maharaj | PoTM: I just tried to rely on the flight that I have and the wicket didn't sort of deteriorate too much from the first innings. So I tried to be as consistent as possible and had good support from my teammates on the other side. Just trying to control the rate to play old-fashioned Test cricket. (On the experience the spinners share) Yeah, very much so. I think even someone like Sen, he's a youngster to international cricket, but he's played a lot of first-class cricket. So, you know, that's a wonderful opportunity for us to put our hands up when the opportunities come. But yes, there's a lot of knowledge amongst the change room, not just from the bowlers' front, but also from the batter's front. So it's nice to have that tactical awareness on the field that you sometimes don't get to see. (On him doing well with the bat) I sat with someone who is very dear to me prior to coming down here, his name is Prasanna (PDogg, former Proteas team analyst). And, you know, we sort of identified ways in which I can combat the conditions and I tried to play accordingly. But I think my main support role was Sen (Muthusamy). He was doing so well. And we decided that we want to take the bull by the horns and really put the pressure on them. We were fortunate enough for it to come off. I did take the few chances that came my way. But, yeah, I think full credit must actually go to Sen and KG (Rabada). That last-wicket partnership really put us ahead. (On spinners stepping up for the team to contribute to wins) Yeah, very much so. I think this transition of the team has been phenomenal. We had a good start in Bangladesh in the previous cycle and to come here against a strong Pakistani team. And, you know, people who know their conditions really well. So it's a wonderful feather in our cap. It shows how much we're growing as a unit. And, you know, wonderful opportunities for the series to come (against India) to gain match practice. But to see the character shine through is really important for us.

PDogg (regularly comes on Ashwin's YT channel) getting a shoutout from the MOTM. Remember, Nadal sought out this guy (back then he was a techie who created a game analysis software as a side quest) in mid 2000s to crack Federer's game, and he did that in 2007-08. Attach more respect to the guy's name.

SA clearly no 1 team right now, will give us a tough fight.

WI also drew a test series vs Pak just couple of months back.

Pak makes sq. turning wkts and who ever gets 1st innings lead wins. This time SA tail gave them a v.good score.

Their tricks are now in the open, visiting teams will come prepared. They have one home series win in the last 4 years, and I don't see them beating Kiwis next year.

Yes, eng was caught by surprise mid series. they came with a team suited for flat tracks and scored 800 runs in the 1st match (if not wrong) and then pak tm used industrial fans and farm style green house to create sq. turner and eng lost there.

Vs Bd they could have not offered turning pitches so pak management gave bit pace friendly wkts which bd pacer used alot better than pak pacers.

Will win 1 test vs NZ thanks to toss...

Masood got lucky both times in this series and should have won the game and some poor cricket cost them.

Pakistan was losing to BD playing on flat decks.

And losing non stop to England Australia.

This way they can get a odd win and level the short series at least.
