why was viks banned?

For parroting pro-Pak propaganda during Operation Sindoor. I support FoE, and had nothing personal against him. But there are certain red lines one shouldn't cross on an Indian forum, so no sympathy.

Vicks ban was very unnecessary

Why? He was irritating everyone here with his pro-Pak military line during the May conflict. There were posts which endorsed Pak's delusional claims about capturing our pilot, Shivangi Singh. Guess who took our President in a sortie recently?

Having different political opinions is fine, but at times have to put such differences aside and speak as one nation.

Real miss is @Muloghonto who too faced a temprorary ban during those volatile times, haven't seen him since then, a real miss for ICF, he was such a treasure trove when it came to history related discussion. He may have lost his temper momentarily but always put India first., and a veteran poster.

Vicks came back as nagz

While i did not ban vicks. I did ban nagz (i think not sure) to uphold the original ban.

Personally i did not mind his opinion. But he was creating so many threads that entire chit chat was vicks/nagz. Just needed to calm down. Chats get heated (even by myself) and divergent opinion is welome. But dont spam.

Personally if you look back i was very critical of the iaf then and our info warfare efforts. But was very happy with our air defences and drdo missile program. So be critical but dont get taken in by pakistani propaganda. Losing jets was a folly but its clear india managed to pierce pakistan air defence pretty easily. It was a much bigger gain.

Yeah. Actually on my request, Sandeep even unbanned him but he continued to irritate everyone the very next day. So was banned from there on permanently.

I don't think he put India first with his Trump support and backtracking when Trump harmed india, he kind of admitted he didn't care what happens to India.

However I admit he is a loss.

Yes his pro-Trump posts were a miss. At least now, hopefully his views have changed. But during the May conflict or in the issue of Canada based Khalistani menace, he was bang on target.

I didn't always agree with him, and one could argue with him for hours (he was the quintessential argumentative Bong) but still be civil. His history related posts were some of the best contributions on ICF, I used to bookmark many of his long essays and read them in leisure time.
