We have gone overboard I think. There should have been minimal celebrations. No?

Betting odds 1.42 around 70% Australia.  India beat a team that hasn't lost a world cup match since 2017. This is equivalent to Eden Garden epic where we broke the 16 win streak of Australia.  SO ya India did the freaking impossible with  loss of an inform player ( 2nd top run getter in the world cup).  Fans can celebrate. We have not become a side yet where winning semi ifnal is academic.

This was bigger than beating Aussies in 03/07 WC or WI in 79/83, that too a home SF. This Aussies team will go down in history as one of the greatest ever in any sport. Of course emotions will run high.

That is fine. But as Kapil said. What else we here for.

Tournament to jitna hai. That is the ultimate aim.

Yes. Agree. Somehow not comfortable with these celebrations before the most important match. There are fall outs of doing this

In this day and age they  know the importance of staying in the present. These are the things they get taught. Jemima kept talking to herself right through her innings not to lose her concentration as she was on the field for well over 7 hours.

Did you see south african celebrations? Way more than anything india did. This is the new age where everyone is chill, not like before where you behave like good little uncle and aunties.

Did not see but will be surprised if it was more than what we are doing.

Irrespective does not make it right in my opinion. The tournament is well alive and yet to be won.

We, all of us Indians, fans, players , associated with cricket etc.

Mellowed down. Focused on winning the finals instead. Like Jemimah did not celebrate jumping when she got the century, but ecstatic when she won the match. That difference

Tell me how can you control human emotions ? So you liked when Jemima  was ecstatic but no one else should be ecstatic?

Regarding the players , they had just pulled off probably the best win ever in women's cricket against the best womens team ever  not just in cricket but in women's sport . In a final a lot of things come into consideration on how individuals/ teams play and win or lose  but how they celebrated in the semi final is not one of them .

I can't but can only comment. That's why I said I feel we are going overboard with the celebrations. Each has it own way of dealing with such victories .

I am hoping there is no complacency creeping in.

It's not complacency it's nerves it's anxiety  it's those that can deal with that and those who can't .
Now they are favourites with not just 40,000 supporters but a whole country who have gone from being hopeful in the semi final  to expecting .

As a neutral I am expecting India to win because they have a stronger team but Finals show The Women from The Girls not semi final celebrations

Still cannot believe they have pulled it off. They thoughly deserve all the accolades they are going to get now.

That SF win will always stay in our memories. Most Indians didn't watch 1983 final, this is the closest comparison.
