I would choose the bowling attack of Bumrah, Shami & Srinath over Wasim, Waqar & Imran.

Bumrah will be the enforcer, Shami is relentless while Srinath will be the workhorse.

The beauty is that, Srinath, with a duo like Shami and Bumrah to bowl alongside, would also be an enforcer as well as a workhorse, and Shami would also switch as a workhorse. I'd safely say that all 3 would be enforcers, with 2 of them being workhorse too.

And yes, I would choose the current technology so that nobody could cheat. And then lets see which trio is able to get the wickets:

@singhvivek141 @mishra @speedster  Manoj Prabhakar is still being mild here. As compared to the NZ team that spoke heavily against the Pakistani bowlers and the Pakistani team, in media as to how much unfair advantage they were getting by tampering the ball. I can get the NZ teams media coverage too about the cheating for people who still think Pakistanis didnt benefit by tampering ;p

It is your choice.

I would choose Akram over Bumrah  anyday in my team .He would be first name on my playing XI and then Warne.

Exactly. This is crux. Condition of ball is key. Everyone in Pakistan team was cheating. All their so called greats. And same population can not create a single Imran Waqar or Akram as soon greater scruitiny came in.

Lets look at it from another angle. The area they couldnt cheat /pratially cheat was batting. Why I say partially is because umpire have power to give NOT OUT in home series. So best batsman so far they could produce is Miandad. As soon as neutral umpires came into scene, we started getting Babar Azam type Greats:giggle:

1. Waqar wasnt great everywhere, he relied the MOST on ball tempering and hence was used strategically as one change bowler for most of his career.

2. Imran should dedicate his whole career to ball tempering. His acceptance in 1994 post a county game tells that he hide more than what he revealed. I think he also mentioned that he learnt reverse swing from Safraraz Nawaz, who learnt it from Fazal Mahmood. So reverse swing was a known commodity, ball tempering just made it quicker..can guess now why Umpires may have missed it.

3. Akram was skillful, though he might have used ball tempering as well, but without that too he remained an effective bowler. He is a smart chap and hence he kept himself updated.

All three were cheats. Some admitted some didnt. So I will say, atleast Imran has a level of honesty to admit that he cheated. Requires lot of courage to blemish your achievement.

But Akram and Waqar are just happy to ride on the hype and hide behind the term "talent". Both of them always failed as bowling coach. I respect Imran more than these guys simply for uncovering the lid. Remember it was him who had guts to tell English that you cheated and hence we cheat while umpiring and that ultimately got neutral umpires. May be Immy is different person . Atkleast he knows what is wrong and sometime repents

We were told by multiple experts over the years as to how Sunil Gavaskar supposedly played against Garner, Roberts, Marshall, Holding, Croft etc and scored all those runs but in the last few years stats clearly exposed the lie. However, none of the experts call out the real reason these Pakistani bowlers have gone down so miserbaly since 2000s.. its only on these forums or X that the knowledgeable fans talk about.. can't they churn some numbers and show the world if Wasim/Waqar disproportionally had high percentage of wickets only when the ball is reversing pre 20+ cameras era?

few things some indians like about Pak is their musicians and the fast bowling talent.. nothing much other than these to like about the rogue nation and fast bowling legacy is all murky and fraud. Knowing all this very well with all the evidence Pakistani still rave about Imran & W's
