Should Jay Shah be credited for success of Women's cricket in India?

There is no LoL here... If you consider playing Asia Cup with Pakistan and indirectly funding PCB and Pakistan by millions ... Joke is already on you.

And Shah unable to bring Trophy back home despite being ICC chief  already makes the case  for most weakest Chairman in history.

In Asia cup, all boards get equal revenue. This is the way ACC is structured unlike ICC where Big gets larger chunk. The only thing they got extra is the runner up prize money and that came at an expense of 3 humiliating weekends. So no one made millions here. It was not a PCB hosted event.

I dont want to say this but I have noticed Indians who are mostly anti Govt or anti Modi were not very happy with Indian team victory in Asia cup. Had India lost, they would double down on blaming the Govt but now that India thrashed them thrice they seemed to be upset. I am not talking about you BTW....I have some friends in real life who were not that thrilled when we won the final. They were more critical about Modi's tweet than actual victory.

Raha sawal terrorism ka, this govt already shown they will not be reluctant taking military action against any Pak aggression. Unlike 26/11, we all saw the bravery of our armed forces on 7th May. If Pak tries to show their guts again in future, Indian army will hit back again.

However, cricket...especially multinational tournament where PCB is not direct beneficiary should be kept apart. As an Indian cricket fan, nothing gave me more happiness this year than 14th Sept, 21 Sept, 28 Sept. Not only we humiliated them on field three times, even off field we trolled them big time.

Moshin Naqvi ran away with trophy? Big deal. If anything, that only amplified the humiliation for them as he will forever be known as Trophy Chor.

Didnt moshin end up giving trophy to uae? Was forced into it as well by a very irate uae board

Our friend lone wolf has a problem with the bjp...thats crux of issue.

Dont get me wrong, i dont agree with jay shah on say the wtc final being held in england all the time. But in the case of womens cricket has been on the right side of history

PCB got roughly between 12-16 million USD otoh from Asia Cup... Could be more due to 3 Indo-Pak games as these were earlier projections.

Winning and losing is only to show for their Jihadi retarded awaam...

Core purpose is money that's why they are always begging Indians to tour them in Neutral venues.

A country which is selling it's soldiers in Saudi or to even their sworn enemy Jews for dollars in Gaza has no moral standing anyways.

I don't know about you but there was visible anger amongst people while we were playing Pakistan..

And God forbid if we had lost and it was pretty obvious they were going to celebrate wildly,  BCCI and GoI would be bashed ever more.

It worked out for them in the end but it doesn't mean it was right.

It was selfish and Greedy on their part and can't support any cricket with Pakistan post Pahalgam... They shouldn't make a penny out of Indian market.

We often criticize Jay Shah for mismanaging things in the BCCI, and he’s become an easy target for jokes. But to be fair, credit where it’s due — under his watch, women’s cricket has received much more attention and investment.

The growth of the WPL (Women’s Premier League) and the overall improvement in the women’s setup show that real progress is being made.

What do you guys think — has Jay Shah actually done a decent job in this area, or is it just a side effect of BCCI’s growing financial strength?

Roger Michael Humphrey Binny, too, would deserve some credit.
