Ii nd vs SA tests

Ind A vs SA A List A series

Ranji Trophy

Ind A, B and Afg U-19 series

Now emerging cup

All going parallely. Will obviously lower the quality of emerging side. Good approach to go for mostly IPL regulars. Could have picked a left arm pacer like Naman Tiwari from the last u-19 batch.

Nehal, Naman Dhir, Ramandeep, Suyansh - 4 multi skull players. Should play all games

Priyansh, Vaibhav, Nehal, Naman, Ashutosh, Jitesh, Suyansh, Ramandeep, Suyash, Yudhvir, Yash Thakur

Its a good selection at-least no-one is forced or misfit selection.

Yeah, most are good fit for T20s.

On pacers, they are clearly trying to groom two groups 1. Any one with both batting and bowling skills - like Suyansh and Ramandeep and 2. Really tall pacers, irrespective of current pace. Gurjanpreet was getting steep bounce on not so good domestic tracks, Yudhvir being backed for decent pace, Yash Thakur deserves a proper run, perhaps more with A squads

yes tall fast bowlers and ppl who could bowl seam up.

segde is as tall as S.iyer if not taller. Grurjap is v.tall v.high release but lacks the pace for t20 hope he has added some pace.

Raman not sure if he is that tall but he  could be the best fielder in Ind right now and play role of a finisher (though not sure of his intnl quality)

You can pick him just for his fielding. He is the closest to Glen philips from India

you are right, i have seen him fielding in some t20 matches for INDIAN 11 and he was taking catches like hardik pandya,,,,kinda running and diving for catches. where as fileders like kuldeep  sometimes miss straight forward chances. i understand he is a fair batsmen and good fielder. his pace bowling is still "work in progress"..he can generate pace but his line n length is still not that great.

The best 11 from that squad but honestly It could be so much better... Prabsimran smashed a 68 ball 100 , albeit in List A match, Vs Aussies A team ...Riyan had man of the series performances... Why aren't they in this squad? Vipraj had a crucial knock under pressure and offers a unique skill set. There's no consistency in selection

Prabhsimran has already played last year.

This is low level tournament, the idea should be to use this tournament to check where the next top talent of other teams is in compression with Ind's c/d/e level talent.

The idea is to create a pool where even d/e level talent is good enough against these team and they are unable to close the gap.

And once a high potential player is identified in such tournament then they should be moved-up and developed into a worldclass player.

Prab has shown that he can be tried in t20i side can can make a place right away in 2nd 11, Same thing for parag he is already part of 1st/2nd playing 11 no need to send them back to same tournament to gain nothing. Its not like they are touring SENA where conditions are different and more they play more they will get better.

Its a good side with no mis-fit yes alot can be discovered later but can not pin-point some1 who is not suited for t20s.

As for Jitesh being selected, think its lot to do with having not many upcoming wk-batters plus they would have wanted some1 senior who can handle things in-case something goes wrong off the field on the field vs pak, also he can take a stand per bcci instructions (if needed) as he does not have large career left that these thing call be re-called every-time he take the field.
