CBFC has stopped his pongal release film Jananayagan for more than 2 months now. They are also putting pressure on him through CBI on karur stampede case. But so far he hasn't budged. They are offering him deputy CM post as well is what i've heard. https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/tamil-nadu-assembly-election-actor-vijay-tvk-aadhav-arjuna-says-party-offered-50-90-seats-deputy-chief-minister-post-for-alliance-11232403 coffee_rules 1

Pmk can contest in more seats than BJP. Edited March 21 by Stan AF Bluntman 1

Pmk can contest in more seats than BJP. Yeah but you cant say bjp getting 8 to 10% in lok sabha is due to allies and discount the vote share when admk and dmk were not there in the coalition. Similarly you can say much about vote share in assembly 2021 when bjp sacrificed number of seats for winnability. Pmk contested 25 and got better calibre of seats. I think the bjp vote share in assembly if they contest all 234 seats is 5 to 8%. In lok sabha if they contest all seats is 8 to 12%. This remains speculative.

Bjp won 4/20 and Pmk 5/24. Similar strike rates. Bluntman 1

The vote transfer you expected from admk does not happen because any base level admk guy knows that BJP is swindling admk . There by he or she will not vote for you.

In a 4 way contest as it is now, dmk vs admk vs tvk vs ntk ... It is next to impossible. The vote split is not in favour of that mathematics. By all means you guys can test it by contesting alone. TN voters prefer TN parties. Tvk will take up votes from dmk & admk Admk themselves have given up their ambitions and were begging for tvk vijay to join them.. Bluntman 1

Then how do you explain the pmk strike rate? Admk cadre think pmk is swindling the admk and wont vote for pmk? 5/25 is similar to bjp. This comes across as a vote transfer issue for Admk rather than being bjp specific. In the lok sabha Dmdk contested with admk and had a much poorer vote share per seat contested than admk. (2024 ls). Dmk seems more able in transferring votes to partners. Explains why dmdk chose to go with dmk this time.

See i personally think its a mistake bjp contesting with admk for 25 to 30 seats being quoted. Even if admk+ wins you will have marginal gains. Never got the congress logic for contesting 28 seats and 2 rs seats when they can build with tvk. What will you achieve with 28 seats? Bjp should have tried to recreate nda in ls 2024 that got 18% of the vote. This was a bjp lead alliance (23 of 39 seats contested). I suspect bjp high command dont care for this election and have decided to conserve resources on assam and west bengal. They will aim to placate local leaders by asking for winnable seats so they can contesr. Bjp will try to recreate nda on the lines of 2024 in ls 2029. Bluntman 1
