The test team selected for Afghanistan series consist of top order batsman ie Rahul,Gill, Jaiswal, Paddikal,Sai and there is not a spot for specialist middle order batsman.

 

Due to personal grudge Sarfaraz is completely ignored by Gambhir.

Hope common sense prevail and Gambhir backs a middle order batsman
