Are you saying the batsman are throwing wickets because of Gambhir ? Seriously ?

Because of the approach decided yes

What were others doing if Kohli and Rohit were duds.

In NZ series first test Kohli scored 70 odd batting at number 3 if useless fellow KL coming in number 6 scored any runs India would have set NZ  a far bigger total  and gave bowlers a chance to win that match.

He magically disappears from last two tests and Gambhir the idiot pushes all the blame on RoKo and kicks Sarfraz out of the team  for good .But Rahul is back in the team as opener others are out.

How can any player have confidence in such a coach.

Whatever they have won , they done overcoming this idiot.

No amount of name calling can change the fact that this is the worst performing Indian Test team at home. Gambhir has changed the DNA of the entire setup right from him fantasizing about bits and pieces all rounders, blinding his eye towards rewarding domestic test perfomers, trying to copy bazz ball style cricket. Our spin playing ability is at all time low, how many of Indian batters can build an innings. We cussed Pujara like players all our lives, where are the test batters? Who in Indian test batting line up can actually build an innings? Rahi baat Jay Shah ki, how many of you bhakts actually think that this guy deserves to be the chairman of BCCI? What are his credentials? What were Gambhirs credentials as a coach apart from odd IPL victories? If fans come out and ask some tough questions, you guys react like BJP IT cellers and resort to name calling and troll voting? Indian cricket is not anyones Baap ki jaagir. This is an all time low of our Test cricket, questions and credbilites of people running it is a matter of concern and people like me will ask questions. So put your head back in that sand, you can continue with your Sab changa si attitude. We will voice our opinions. This is not political, this comes from a die hard Test cricket lover. Jai hind !

India has continued to win tough series at home and abroad, and despite some batting collapses, the team still holds one of the best home records in world cricket.

About Gambhir—yes, he has his own ideas, but every coach experiments. To say he’s blindly copying Bazball or ignoring domestic performers is unfair. Players like Jaiswal and Gill have come through the domestic grind and are being backed. Transition phases are always messy, but that doesn’t mean the DNA of Indian cricket is destroyed.

As for “innings builders,” Pujara-type batters are rare, but you can’t dismiss the likes of Pant, JadduJaiswal, who have shown they can play long knocks. The game has evolved, and strike rates matter too—building an innings today doesn’t look the same as it did 10 years ago.

On Jay Shah and BCCI, questioning credentials is fine, but let’s not pretend cricket administration has ever been purely meritocratic. Every era has had political influence. Yet, Indian cricket has thrived despite that, because of the talent pipeline and strong domestic structure.

Fans asking tough questions is healthy, but painting everyone who disagrees as “bhakts” or “IT cellers” weakens your argument. Debate should be about cricketing logic

So yes, voice your concerns—but also give credit where it’s due. Indian Test cricket you may say is at “all-time low.” But also,It’s in a transition, and transitions always look shaky before the next strong phase emerges.

lol I told in so many posts Jaiswal , pant and Jadeja has been bailing us out. They failed in recent series and we lost. We won in spite of Kohli who has been a dud. The root of the problem is only few guys are bailing out. KL Rahul and even gill hasnt done anything extra ordinary in tests in India.

They were playing for India not for other team. What happened to them against SA then?

In low scoring games all batsmen have to contribute that does not mean Jadeja or Pant were Bradmans.Jadeja still averages 36 and Pant 41.

Jaiswal exploded in England series which Kohli did not play, I never said Kohli should be playing now , he had his time , he is done from test cricket.

Guy like KL rahul escapes all blame but still plays but others who performed are being discarded by this coach.

But SA series proves it is the coaching which is the problem, England series also if India better coaching it would have won.

Lets say coaching was bad still we drew in eng whereas when kohli was at his peak and the coaching was at prime level we surrendered 4-1. Now i am not justifying gambhir but the problem is the batters who performed in the past are all out of form, we are going through transition where one out of 2 goat domestic spinners is retired and other one is already reaching expiry. Same problem happened around 2012 but atleast we have kohli , rahane and others have a bit experience and transition was much smoother. Having said that biggest problem right now is identifying good spinner, in India spinners are still main factor and these Allrounder overloading is definitely not helping.

Was watching Steve Smith's talk with KP.

With Gambhir as coach, Smith would probably still be a bird and pieces played, being forced to bow a bit, bat a bit.

He would never have been given a chance to focus on his batting.

Someone should tell Gambhir not to make excuses when coaching his country. There are jawans fighting for his country at the border. Do you hear them making excuses, Gautam ji?
