what's the best way to fast track him to the senior team? play him in A games? the problem is he is an opener and there is too much log jam at opener in India,he has to skip over several openers who haven't played for India.

Suggested it wont do any good for him to stay in bhr ranji team, first bcci needs him to get better ranji side and pipe-line him to Ind side.

Send him to A tours.

U19 or age grps wont help he is way ahead for age grps, 

 

Suggesting to bring him in Wc t20i team as finisher

He is not better than Jaiswal yet and he is warming the bench. 

Kid needs to play FC and couple of IPL seasons to fast-track him.  His game needs a lot of refinement

He is ready for T20. He might fail more at the start. That's okay.  He is like Sehwag. Just naturally gifted.

Who’s he gonna replace Gill ? .. that’s a non starter .. go he will probably have to wait till Gill retires

And the wickets he has played are flat as hell … the minute he plays on a turner against ppl who can turn the ball or a green seamer he will be found ..  should play Ranji for at least 1 season .

to be fair..our established players are also not doing wonders on such tracks..

yes..best way to improve someone is to keep increasing is challenge level..these U19 kind of matches..are not challenging him much..so he wont grow..so we need to throw him in higher challenges..

IPL is a good start...lets see one more season..as practically he cant make in to current T20 squad as wcup is so close..whereas even Jswal\Samson cant get in due to Gill..

 

So my all eyes are on next IPL season..

 

as far as Rajni trophy is concerned..his red ball skills..may need to be examined through a different lens..and I am in no hurry for it as of now..

He has this same level crease manipulation as Abhishek. Right now slower ball is the one which he has not mastered yet. Yet he does better than some of our seniors. He manages to delay the stroke just enough.  Completely fearless. But if he plays with low-back-lift Gill his career will be ruined. Good that he partners Jaiswal.

This age group is no challenge to him, its like sending a senior player to play age group right now. This can only harm him and to provide any sort of gain.

He needs to be pipe-lined for Ind side.

 

Need to play better ranji side . But players do not find it easy once they move to other domestic side unless they are established players or playing or played for Ind where the other team members looks up-to them. Which is helpful to younger players.

If he goes to a set up where there is a lot of politics he could lose his way. So he has to be careful. Couple of failures they may sit you out much like how UP fast bowlers find themselves in bench where there are team that play average pacers.

Politics is everwhere no team or set-up does not have it. Couple of back pondi team was in news for not so good reasons

Good observation..that delay in stroke..seems to me also helps in sending the ball far into the stands..I am no technical expert though :D

Delay and then still able to generate power in the shots that makes him diff. there are batter who can identify the change in pace but they are not able to generate power so either they push it for 1 or 2 or mishits it even knwing it was a slower one.

 

Vaibhav has high bat lift and big swing and bat comes with lot of downwards monentun so he should have been susceptive to slower one, but he can adjust and then also have power behind the shots. Its not that common, even yuvi was not able to delay his shots and if he delayed he would tap it for 1-2

He will need to start from mo or may be lower mo
