Enaan can bat though... Haven't seen Pushpak bowl hopefully he is better than Patel.  There was so much turn on offer today yet he bowled with no real threat

There was no u19 asia Cup, a month ago. India held domestic u19 challenger trophy in October and then a tri series with India A, India B and Afghanistan u19 in November. Asia Cup in December. Next month is the U19 WC.

He bowls only 1 length, IPL batters would use it to their advantage. And he still does not have pace to trouble intnl/IPL level batters with just 1 length (short pitch)

Vedant Trevedi is also good mo batter , played well in Aus. Has both off and leg-side game

His release is different from what i see. Even Australians were struggling to cope with his bouncers.It just skids off and gets to you quickly.

those were u19 Aus teams. let him play lower levels and perform, build up some more pace , build up diff. lengths.

if there is a need to destroy his career yes sure throw him in IPL. He is not that fast or skill-full to bowl to these IPL/intnl bowler.

 

Just take a look at smat, even tier-2/3 ipl level batters become beast there. different ball game.

ppl like kishan and padikal who cant lay a bat on any decent type of bowling be it pace or spin is playing at 200 and 170 sr repstvly.

Ind has resources to build if they want to but donot think that is intention, winning is not priority look at Gill's selection in all format.

They have purposefully taken team to  position where ppl are comparing gill to Rahane and Dhawal in t20is.

 

They will give him more matches and in one of those matches he will score and these Ind commentators will do rest of the job and then paid pr or fanbase will join in.

 

Ind should have program to create format specific bowler and batters now. T20 is a diff. format to test :- V.diff bat swings are needed and diff bowling skills are needed and sure given all of them games in diff. formats just to keep them up to date to various changes and a chance to develop more.

 

Batter like Abhishek will not be such a hit in test or even in Odis, Bowlers needs those white-ball skills in oid and t20 in tst one can bowl with good control over and over again hitting either good length ot hard length will get wkts.

 

Mystery or wrist spinner are needed in t20is may be also in odis but in test you still need spinner who can bowl longer spells and able to construct wkts bowling longer spells and working out the batter.

SL is not producing enough mystery spinners these days.

They do not fiddle around with off-spinners, In Pak bowler has to be special not run of the mill be it spinner or pacer.

 

In ind its hard to get in the team and even if some1 gets in such kind of bowlers are unable to get games. Captains like control over the game which turndlers or finner spinners provide and do nt have to invest time in developing an un polished bowler who can bowl rubbish which most wrist/mystery spinner do in start of career, the coaches and captains have no incentives. 

 

Pak team already have 2 mystery spinner + 2 LA wrist spinner in their t20i rotation , ppl can leap frog in the system, it could be a good thing or a bad thing.

 

There was a mystery spinner in emerging asia cup , v.similar to mendis

I left a note on tagging Ashwin to make sure Deepesh doesn't lose his way after Australian series. His father Vasudevan devendran played ICL 2008.

There is one more TN Kid RD PRanav Raghavendra touched 147.3 kph at the age of 17. I can't find the video. But there was a lot of talk about him. He is from a small town vellore. I think if only TN starts  scouting players from the small towns they will be able to unearth faster , fitter fast bowlers.

Keep hearing alot of these quickish bowlers coming to trials and being rejected in the trials, once a player from not a big centre or small town its hard to carry on as there are not many chances available.

 

They go back to their academy and play there either gets injured or lose interest naturally as their is no scope any further and it becomes just hobby.

That is where talent scout needs to improve. UP is unable to a lot of quickish bowlers who hail from small towns.  This is where TNPL plays a major role as they have districtwise teams which allows them to unearth potentials from small villages.  When people say "billions of people should have more talent" it is laughable because of this very reason.
