Good point ,though there was no other batter to pick, the only other option was to pick kuldeep/Shebaz.

 

Not bringing in a replacement is tell tell signs, they called replacements for axar frm no where

Yup, both the captain and the vice captain would be the first names on the team sheet despite being the worst performers and not deserving a spot in the team.

Jaiswal was in the 2024 WC squad, right?

 

Then what wrong did he do post that? In T20Is he featured with Gill post that WC, and outshone him every single time. Now suddenly, not even in contention?

Rinku yes, Ishan no. Ishan hasn't done anything and isn't a good T20 player. He's like Pant and needs a lot of balls to get going. We need someone who can hit from ball one. Top of the order it's Jaiswal and at the death Jitesh is a better bet.

I'm happy that he just plays IPL for his own good(although that is enough for bad habits to infiltrate into his red ball game)

Jaiswal is vital for the other two long formats

I think him being sidelined in white ball is allowing bad habits to creep into his test game. As if he wants to audition for those two other formats in red ball. 

 

He should be a guaranteed starter in at least one of the white ball formats.

Gill dropped is fine. 

Thry want the keeper to open. It will be Samson. If he is injured or unavailable, then another opener keeper is selected as back up. Makes complete sense. You don't want to change your batting order in the event of injuries.
