Thanks to stupid Impact player role and foreign finishers we are unable to unearth finisher and middle order enforcers. We largely rely on foreign guys. I don't think they will try others in middle order. Especially all formatters should not bat out of position. That will mess up their mind in other formats.  They can pick some niche players. Also when you come down the order failure rate is very high. They may be banished forever after a few failures. Right now RInku is the only one we have to support Pandya.  Everyone else is total waste.

Think impact player rule is okay, there is no issues with. Ateast we are seeing either proper batter or bowler playing for the side and not the pseudo allrounders who were good for nothing and just there to provide fake balance on team sheet were occupying the space.

Before the rule it was not like they were producing some high potential seam bowling allrounders, ppl like gautam, sharuk, gopal, tilak yadav etc were making into the team. There was no such big potential for the allrounders. Now at least there is an up take for more suited domestic players, we are seeing proper faster bowlers and batters.

Now these teams have to find proper power hitters from Domestics , and even when the impact player rule was not there all the enforcer and finisher's role was done by foreign players, at-least now we are seeing player like Ashutosh and Shahank playing as power hitter and finishers. Prior to impact rule you wont see that. more trundlers and accumulators were coming into IPL team's 11 and only batters who were in late 20s and early 30 were able to make the change where they completely changed there games were making into IPL teams' playing 11-- player like dk, Tripathi, Sky they all changed their game to suite the t20 format.

Without Impact player rule do not think players like Arya, Abhishek would have opened the innings, bowlers like vipraj, Prince yadav etc would have to wait for couple of season to get fake allrounders.

Saying impact rule has stopped the way for allrounder not it has not, it has stopped the way for fake allrounders.

Parag and Abhishek can easily bowl 4 overs between them. We have Varun C> Also both Varun C and kully cannot  play together as a general rule as it will weakne the batting and fielding. May be against some teams. Not every team.

Yes, that how TM and selectors should think:-- will there be any match/game where Axar and Sundar will play and will there be any game/match where they would pick sundar over kuldeep ????

Sundar is waste of spot imo

Think Varun and Axar are locked. Then will you ever pick Sundar over a kuldeep ??? and will you ever play 4 spinners by dropping Arsh and 1 more batter rinku/dube???

Axar was worse than Sundar in terms of strike rate in 2025.  If you take out his knock against oman that is about 110.  I am not sure how to get the best out of him as he struggles against back of a length deliveries.  I would get rid of both if you ask me. Axar is useful when there is a top order collapse, Axar is a better fielder.  Sundar is a better power play bowler with more experience. But we don't care about bowling here. It is about high impact with bat. Both fall short in this category.

Yes both lacks power game, think Sundar's data is skewed think he got 4 sixes in 1 game that it. Ind can not have both in playing 11, there is no way in this set-up you can maximize axar.

Thats the reason I am not in favour of having a specialist off-spinner. off spin has to come from a proper batter, A mystery/wrist spinner of sundar's batting ability is huge plus.

But an off-spinner with sundar's batting ability has no place in the playing 11, Its hard to imagine an off-spinner doing his quota of 4 overs every game unless there are lot of LH batters in the opp. side or if the off-spinner is having the day of his life

Have been pointing out the lack of power in mo and lower mo, suggested Ind pick Vaibhav, arya as short term solution fr the wc.

They wasted time in Gill ,when there was no issue with the opening they could have used those 2 series to try out some finishers or hitter.

Rinku is not prototype hitter or finisher , would be surprise if he can  be a finisher vs good sides, is he a good batter---yes, is he a finisher --may be not.

Mone Morke has done half decent thing during his tenure which is to convert Dube into a passable LOI bowler. Otherwise he would be losing his spot to one of these players.  Seam bowling all rounders are rare. He has outbowled even Bumrah on occasions.

Yes , Dube has out performed himself in many regards. He was thought to be spin basher , but he played as finisher vs pace. Though he does not have a massive sr but has done well for the situations he came into bat

jakhar (hryn) got 49 frm 29 balls 4 sixes

So he is following up with his aggressive  SMAT performance. He had a very low balls/six here in SMAT as well. So we have a six hitting seam bowling all rounder. And he is only 20.

He is tall and uses long handle to hit 6s, may be need to improve hitting vs pace. but some thing that can be developed and he is able to use crease as well while batting.

He bowls mid to high 120 kmph.

We need a proper off spinner in test cricket to complement kuldeep at home.

Sena wins can wait. Need to secure fort at home.

Cricket is about specialist yes may 1 one of the specialist develops other skills that is always a plus, but need proper batters and bowlers in tests.

Ind tm is trying to creating 4/5 bits and pieces players in to test players which is hard when team is already losing. Sai, Sundar, Reddy....

Need to ensure Ind has bowler who picks up 20 wkts and batter who out bats opp. bits and pieces will not work.

May to build a strong 10 1st and then develop 1-2 players

He is approaching 22 per cricinfo…in reality could be 23/24..

so need to do well in 1 year or so

Nz will not be playing a full strength side in up coming Odis , Ind should also try out some new player. Give chances to domestic performers.

Try developing some finisher/hitters.

Try out some of the players.

Anukul (jkd)/Shebaz(bgl)

Ashok(raj)

Dhir(pjb)

Gurnoor (pjb)

Vipraj(up)

Arshad(mp)
