Iran suffers from water crisis also. Tehran does not have enough water. The country is over populated as mullah's wanted higher fertility. Their problems are much more than oil price.

At max, US will allow us to buy oil from Iran and reduce the dependency on Russian Oil. But in return, we will get a govt in Iran which is a lapdog of US and will have good relationship with Pooks...making Iran as their strategic backyard.

If there is glut of oil then likes of iran iraq and libya will be upper middle income countries at best. Trump wants iran regime change due to israel. I hope he is kicked out. There are Baha’i, Zoroastrian, Sikh and a whole lot of non Ahl al Kitab minorities in Iran. Never heard of any of them having to pay jizya. Khameini will go anyways. The people of Iran have had enough of him and the Islamic Republic from the looks of it.
