2 warm-up matches are given to each side, they can opt in/out. then its upto icc+hosts to provide other team with an opp.

They are probably out if even one game gets washed out, as their NRR will be unrecoverable after the Indian forfeit

How/why does it rain so much in Sri Lanka? This isn't monsoon season, SW or NE. And they aren't in equatorial belt which sees almost daily afternoon showers.

It's a tropical island and weather is totally dependent on sea temperature.. hence unpredictable.  Colombo being coastal can be rainy while Kandy can be bone dry due to diverse topography of the Island.

It rains even in Kandy due to the presence Central mountains,no place in SL is that dry

Yes but it can be dry when Colombo is raining.

Asia Cup in SL in 2023 was prime example, when Colombo was getting flooded games in Kandy went smoothly.

India wouldn't have played warmup against USA anyway because india vs USA is first league game. I think Australia was scheduled to play USA but backed out.
