Just reading few comments here so we are thinking of having 7 batters that includes Axar.

 

This is how lower mo will look like ::

Axar+Kuldeep+Sundar and if a batter like pandaya is not there with them do not think ind can get much runs. And as there will be no cushion of having extra batter will aways have fear in Ind batting , saw that in 1 game vs nz

I would play Rinku singh against Pakistan. Sundar is not going to do anything better and  I am not sure Sundar is an upgrade.

 

I would bring Kuldeep in for Arshdeep

All the years of IPL and near zero domestic finishers & lower order big hitters produced. Don't even have any tail enders that can tonk a few.

 

Unlikely situation will change given IPL teams buy overseas players for those key roles.

There are players like Shashank Singh, Ashutosh, Ramandeep and even Jitesh who have done fairly well. Just that they don't get a run at the international level to see if they can replicate the performance.

India hosuld played Rinku & Parag both in the last few t20 games instead of waiting time on Sundar. Parag is a more capable batter who offers bowling options. Now we have rinku & Sundar who wouldn't offer much either.

Rinku is an excellent fielder always gives his 100% on the field... he missed out last 2 games with bat he could b vital vs pak especially at death but he deserves to b there... Sundar sux with bat, ball .... I would keep Rinku, swap out Sanju for Abhi, arsh with KY

Agreed 100%. Which is why I am a fan of this guy. He's a joy to watch.

Jitesh is the best of the lot and if we play Jaiswal at the top then Jitesh is the logical choice for a wk lower down the order.

Plus Jaiswal at the top. I would've also given Vipraj Nigam a few games to play the Axar role. We missed such a great chance to check out talented players.

Think ppl are just splitting hairs for nothing. Yes rinku is not able to finish games. And his role and position is under question now.

Bt unless there is some injury replacements, this is what Ind got. And still with all this he has SR of 155. Its not like he is not a 6-hitter.

 

He can hit 6s may not be as frequently as some other players in this side   he has 36 sixes in 30 innings think a good return. Can not drop ppl based on 2 games.

 

If not rinku than Ind does not have many options apart from untested vaibhav/Shahank and Parag and he has not played much vs a good side.

Out of box selection would be calling up Vaibhav and make him finisher.He attacks from ball one and can play long ball.Being with senior team will help the guy.

 

I wanted out of box selection in 2023 world cup too like Tilak Verma or Jaiswal. I always believe you need to include one youngster in the squad who is not burdened by past failures every major tournament.

 

Instead morons selected Prasidh Krishna, guess how many matches he played in the world cup.

wild-cards does not work well for Ind in Icc events, take pant, vijayshankar or varun in last few icc events.

Its aways good to select ppl who have played some intnl cricket and as a team you know that a particular player bring and where they are suited.

 

 

But for vaibhav ind can play him at #7 so he can be eased into the games/matches, plus he has all the shots to work well in last few overs. Think in Ind right now only dube would have better power game than him. Plus you can use him in a big game at top and take a punt, if he gets out early that's okay he was anyways going to bat at #7 but even if he plays 20 balls he can set up the game.

 

And if he plays 35-45 balls he can wide-open the game for the team. Other team are taking punt on their player based on their t20 leagues.

If IPL is the best and way ahead of anyother league why not to take a punt that too in home conditions.

My concern is keeper Battter.

 

I do not trust Kishan or Sanju for any length of time.

 

They have consistency and keeping issues.
