They have consistency and keeping issues. I prefer Ishan over Samson. Ishan has shown he can handle tough situations the way he hammered Pak bowlers in 2023 Asia Cup alongside Pandya and pulled India from a tricky situation. Ishan can also go big. Samson can't do much. If none of these are played then the best bet (my preferred option) is to get Jaiswal in as opener and play Jitesh lower down the order. Jaiswal-Abhishek combo would be ideal as an opener and if Ishan can perform the way he's doing over the last few matches, that would be a big help.

Saim and Faheem have been in good form recently. I am no big fan of Sundar in this format, just that he may work in Premadasa, huge ground dimensions and sluggish, turning pitch. Besides he is a decent PP bowler, Kuldeep isn't. And last thing I want is to waste Chakri's overs in PP. Chakri and KD should operate in tandem in middle overs to break the back of Pook batting. Sean Bradley Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Rinku singh has been toothless, he is a gun fielder, but except fielding, he doesnt add much value, Washington has played some good T20 innings and can bowl, Washington is a clutch player.
Sooda Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) We missed a trick by not trying Vipraj Nigam several months ago. Unique profile as a leggie who can hit the ball hard coming in at 8 Edited February 13 by Sooda Ultimate_Game, nevada, Lord and 1 other 2 2

Rinku's current form is a big concern. Should be dropped, IMO. But Washington has never been a clutch player in any form of whiteball cricket, despite endless opportunities. His batting reminds me of H Vihari. No strike rotation, no big hits. Basically, stroke less wonder. His bowling doesn't inspire any confidence either. Lastly, he is the worst fielder Ind has ever produced. Edited February 13 by Frustrated tapandrun 1
Frustrated Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Iyer's return to intl cricket (in that ODI series vs NZ) would probably count among the most disastrous returns in recent times. (This, despite the flat pattas). No way he should be replacing rinku or anyone else. He needs to play domestics first. Unfortunately, we hv very limited options as rinku's replacement.

singhvivek141 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Rinku likes the pace, and once you feed him he'll smash. Pookistan handed over Phateechar Sofa to him and he acknowledged. nevada 1
deepdynamo Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Rinku would be redundant on true Indian flat pitches but if he facilitate license to top 6 to blast, then need to back him. And what a gun fielder IndianRenegade 1
