putrevus Posted February 22 Posted February 22 (edited) Again proved he is an excess who has no role in wins or losses.Today I would blame idiot coach more than I blame Rinku. He should have batted in place of Sundar. Again this is the same idiot coach who made Sundar a number 3 batsman in tests. Edited February 22 by putrevus
vvvslaxman Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Has RInku hit spinners for six ever ?I am curious. I know he played a good knock against Afghanistan. But outside that i am not sure he has domianted spin that much. India has a bunch of players who can be tied down easily. I thought Dube would be the most limited batsman. Turns out there are many guys who don't look as good as Dube.
Ultimate_Game Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Rinku jab aaya tab tak match hi khatam ho gaya tha. IMO he should've been sent at 5 in place of Sundar. Sundar is not like Axar who can hit. Axar would've taken on Maharaj in the middle overs. Gambhir and Indian team management are doing the same mistake with Gill, i.e. forcing Gill on us instead of Jaiswal and now they're trying to make Sundar a replacement for Axar when he isn't anywehere close to Axar. Axar was the main reason why India was able to win 2024 WT20 and 2025 CT. Look at the difference between the innings Axar played against SA in the Wt20 final and the shyte show from Sundar today. We're messing up our team selection. Rinku came in when the RRR was 20. It was a lose-lose situation for him. He should've been sent at 5 and hope he's able to play an innings for which he's picked. Gollum Posted February 23 Posted February 23 What was he trying to do yesterday? When he came to the crease, we were 6 down, 100 more to get in 35 balls. That should have been the time for him to support Dube and stitch together a 50 runs partnership, play out full 20 overs. Instead we were all out in 19th over (NRR considers all 20 overs if you are all out) and lost by a record margin of 76 runs. Seriously low IQ cricket.
Gollum Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Rinku Singh leaves India camp, returns home due to family emergency Sources told India Today, the left-hander left Chennai early on Tuesday morning to attend to his father, who is on life support (a ventilator). He is unlikely to play the team's match against Zimbabwe on February 26. Rinku was unavailable for practice on Tuesday evening owing to the development. Prayers for Rinku and his family. Lord Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Hopefully a batsman replaces Rinku. Not Sundar with Axar coming back

That's terrible news. Wishing his father a full recovery.
Gollum Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Very humble origins that family, Rinku's dad was a gas cylinder delivery person who made great sacrifices for Rinku's cricket ambition. vvvslaxman Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I think they should release him. Let him spend time with his family at this time. I think Ash did that too. Gollum 1

Cricket is a trivial bat and ball sport at the end of the day. Family is everything. BacktoCricaddict and Throwaib_Chuckter 2

I don't know if he left and came back or never left at all, but remember that in the next innings, he made a big score against Kenya. I hope that he did leave and get closure before returning to work.

IN this case his father is still alive. so he needs to be supportive of the family. BacktoCricaddict 1

The only positive I see is that his father saw his son succeed and play in the World Cup. At least he knew that his son and family's future is secure, which not many in India can say. Gollum 1
Gollum Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Even Siraj was in Aus (BGT 20-21) when his dad got extremely ill and passed away. His dad instructed Siraj to stay with the team and not return to Hyderabad, pandemic bhi tha us waqt. 19 year old Kohli going and saving a Ranji match for Delhi a few hours after his father passed away. The sacrifices these sportspersons and their families make, which are not captured in Insta reels. Ultimate_Game, tweaker, putrevus and 1 other 1 1 2
