This fellow is boasting about hitting Bumrah for sixes which will probably be his only claim to fame and is getting trolled by the whole of pookistan. There is no parallel for this here. Only close thing is Liverpool releasing dvds over a decade ago after a big win but this is even more cringe. This is a 2-minute long ad campaign, for a watch company no one has heard of. No need to take it too seriously.
express bowling Posted February 16 Posted February 16 (edited) The only Pakistani players I recognize in this squad are Shaheen, Naseem, Babar, Fu*ker and Faheem. Salman Agha now because he is appearing in interviews. Saw this " Halt Spinner " yesterday and learnt that his name is Usman. He may survive. Today I learnt of this H'zada because of this thread. What has he done / not done / messed up to deserve a thread or for us to learn his name ? They just come and go randomly these days without leaving a mark. tapandrun Posted February 16 Posted February 16 (edited) All such articles/videos or anything are made for domestic audiences. There is nothing wrong or right about such things. These days playing and performing vs Ind is main KPI of pak cricketers that one performance can make them into star/superstar. And if they are new player can establish them into the team for longterm. All these things and individual performances matter in cricket because its an offshoot of test cricket where a result was only expected when stacks were in favour of a certain team and draw was a more likely result, this was not long back. Hence small achievements like individual performances were celebrated all the time. There is a similar documentary/chat/podcast of kolhi of 1 innings vs Pak, in a wc where ind lost the sf 170/0. Its just how it is. Aus would think same of Ind cricket/players that why are they so celebrated for achieving nothing, for them achieving/celebrating it meant winning the icc events and being dominant. Before that, he would have been their version of Sir Viv Richards. express bowling, Ultimate_Game, Master_better and 1 other 4

Bro...we do understand that performing against India is the KPI on which a player is granted immoral status. That inns of Kohli is talked courtesy of that six against Haris, post which he lost his mental balance. And to be frank, no one would have expected India to win that game if that inns hadn't happened. Imagine the irony if someone would have made a documentary of Hardik Pandya hitting Shadab for sixes in CT2017 final, Indja lost that game, isnt it. Not one broadcaster will do that...here they're not even making a documentary, they're trying to make a mockumentary. Anyway, as youve mentioned, these documentaries are made for the consumption of domestic audience, and collectively we know the IQ of Pakistan...thats mentioned multiple times in the ad above. express bowling 1

tapandrun Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Farhan overtook kolhi as the highest run-getter in single edition of T20i wc.
Ultimate_Game Posted March 1 Posted March 1 He was the only one who showed up for Pak on a consistent basis. Not really an impact player but a consistent one.
neel roy Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Credit where it is due. He has improved a lot since asia cup where he still was their best batsman. His backfoot game has improved. But real test will be in SENA Ultimate_Game 1

Where he is low to mid tier of modern t20 batter but he has basics which can work, he has decent power game, able to hit both pace and spin. Just shows in t20i batters does not need to be technically v.sound. Think Sanju looks into his batting, sanju has better batsmanship than farhan. If sanju is making room on off-side then need to club it rather than trying to drive with straightish bat. and be not fully predictable with making always trying to make room on off-side.

He may not be suited to SENA or may have a limited technique but he does his best. He doesn't throw his wkt away and makes the most of his ability. Can't say the same about Samson. Samson has a much better technique and is more skilled but temperament-wise he's not there. He throws his wkt nearly every match and i snot consistent at all. Farhan manages to give his team a consistent start and rarely throws it away. Temperamentally Farhan is ahead of Samson. If Samson can have the same temperament as Farhan, Samson would be an automatic pick in the playing XI. tapandrun 1
