She voluntarily chose to convert on marriage and then , apparently, was shocked to find that she could not worship her Hindu pantheon as a Muslim. I mean what did she expect? Lol. And these things only conveniently came out after divorce. That's not a good example. I don't know much about the other case. Chahat Khanna was 19 years old when she married him. In one interview, she claimed that his family and h he would eat beef or non-veg in front of her, even though she was a vegetarian and kind of passive aggressively khawer Singhher to convert to both Islam and nonvegetarian. She might be seeing all this now for eyeballs as she was getting some TV gigs. There are a lot of ordinary girls of young age in LJ cases having married Muslim men being forced to become non-vegetarian and it is pretty common as it’s easier to convert the religion as well once you eat beef. You are making irvas though every Brahmin is eating beef in Kerala. It could be anecdotal for you, but not for me as I have a lot of uc Keralite friends who don’t eat beef. Even in Kerala, I’ve heard that they eat more of ox and buffalo meat and less of cow meat. Although all are considered beef. Force feeding beef to convert to Islam is not a new finding. Even in history Kashmir pandits where force fed beef so the community ostracized them and had to convert. So if somebody depicts force feeding beef in a movie to convert, it is pretty acceptable although you claim it’s not realistic for Kerala, but it is for the rest of the country.

Chahat Khanna was not 19. That was some other guy. This was her second marriage when she was much older. And she has already converted to Islam before marriage. I'm not sure why it's so shocking for her in laws of her husband to have eaten beef in front of her. She is a woman who had agency and made her own choices. You may have some friends who don't eat beef. My parents who are Malayalis don't either. Even among upper castes, it's a tiny minority who don't eat it. And it's not the taboo that it is in the rest of India . Most beef is buffalo meat only, even in Kerala I think. Edited February 28 by Nikhil_cric coffee_rules 1

Didn’t know it was her second marriage. Anyhow, I have said what I wanted yo. Film makers just use any controversy to make money , people are pretty aware with Tav internet phone penetration, there is no need to make movies to spread awareness unlike it was felt needed earlier on n 80s Nikhil_cric 1
