Especially with pancreatic problems and BP. thank you My elder brother has been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2016 at the age of 39...he went for allopathy earlier but too much bills with little help. Shifted to Ayurveda...numbers are now in pre-diabetic range, not to bad since then. Dietary habits has shown improvement, had to leave Non-veg as well. He dont drink but had the habit of consuming beetel leaf (pan) at least 10 times a day...its reduced to 2-3 now with zero sugar in Tea. Edited February 19 by singhvivek141 Chaos 1
BacktoCricaddict Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Just to reiterate a point - the source or system of medicine is irrelevant. An intervention or medicine can be deemed as a treatment or cure only if it has been through a rigorous clinical trials process and has the weight of evidence behind it. There are hundreds of "medicines" in the Western supplement-world (e.g., hydroxycut, superbeets) that are useless at best (no efficacy trials) or dangerous (no safety trials). So, don't look for whether something is allopathy or ayurveda. Just ask the question - has it been clinically proven in rigorous assessments? If it is not proven using the below process, I would not trust it - unless you yourself are a trials volunteer. Tillu and Mariyam 2

That is why, in the US, I tell everyone who will listen to not use any "medication" that is not FDA approved. All of these supplements and non-FDA approved "medicines" in the US clearly state on the containers that their claims have not been verified by the FDA. I think GoI is also taking steps to require rigorous clinical trials of all medical treatments including Ayurvedic and give seal of approval. I hope I am correct. My allopathic doctor told me to exercise more and cut carb intake by 30%. Worked like a charm. I have outlined my UCSHFHPPC* diet here (and am too lazy to dig it up now). Lost 45 lbs over 1.5 years and have kept it off since. I am nowhere near prediabetes range now. This is not ayurveda or allopathy - all systems have this advice built-in. *Unsexy Common Sense High Fibre High Protein Portion Control singhvivek141 and Chaos 1 1

But recently cut off red meat minus when i order at steak place. I like lot of fish like kooramina (in telugu), halibut, red snapper, sea bass. Love prawns. Love lean chicken and turkey. But when u have certain problems it almost impossible to follow food. I do iv water and such. Cold turkey = death kind of feeling on sub-stained substance abuse.
