Mid-tourney changes have worked for us. I recall that Yusuf Pathan was the starter in 2011 WC batting at 7 and struggled in the group stages. Dhoni brought in Raina in place of Yusuf at the Q/F stage and Raina was a game-changer in Q/F against Aus and against Pak in S/F. In this tourney we've made 2 changes: 1. Brought in Ishan, and 2. Brought back Samson, and both these changes have panned out.

 

IMO Abhishek needs to be dropped and Rinku brought in with Samson & Ishan as openers. Better to go with in-form players instead of hoping an out of form player comes good.
