vayuu1 Posted March 22 Author Posted March 22 Naah it was good engaging yes at times it felt rushed but still it was fast paced and all actors did cover up for that

Should have ended it after he left Pak. Another half an hour of screen time simply wasted.
goose Posted March 22 Posted March 22 the six billion dollar question, did dhar plan the twist from the very beginning of D1 and is there anything in D1 the audience can latch on to. if there was he would have played bsck the ‘moment’. I’m afraid if it was an afterthought, and I think it was, he’s cocked right up! hell, tell us rehman was an indian agent why don’t you! also the music director got carried away with sampling old movies. I spotted hum, tridev, and agneepath, sure there was more. oye oye from tridev was cringe!

goose Posted March 22 Posted March 22 all the best sequels recycle the great music from the first edition and D1 music was immense. think james bond, rocky franchises. massive miss not to recycle one or two of the D1 hits e.g during the climactic fight with major iqbal or the conversations with yalina. doesnt have to be full on just instrumentals. that touch alone rescues many a sequal

The music in D2 is a huge letdown with some.Ghissa pita- hum pyaar karnewale duniya se na darnewale type bus driver collection of songs. Even the original tracks don’t stick in your mind like it did in D1. I was not impressed with. didi didi song as well compared with the Baloche rap song of D1 @Lone Wolf I haven’t watched Nobody 2 yet, hopefully it is not a letdown

Keep expectations lower. It's like an Adam Sandler movie with some cool kills. Nobody 1 was darker and almost John Wick lite coffee_rules 1

ravishingravi Posted March 22 Posted March 22 My first feelings are. First one was better. He tried to pack too much in. Political intrigue part is lacking. It seems a bit rushed.
kepler37b Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Seeing great reception for this film among sambaar bro's. Looks like the paan paraah industry has atlast broken into the land of tamils.

IndianRenegade Posted March 23 Posted March 23 (edited) Just watched it today morning. i have never seen so many shows for an Indian movie in USA. ##Spoilers## 1st half of was great, loved the fight scene at the MLAs home, I think it was the standout action sequence of the movie, the rest of action sequences could never match it. Major iqbal’s father scenes could have been avoided or reduced. the second half wasn’t as engaging until Major Iqbal finds out who Hamza is. It was all too easy until that, to me more screen space could have been spent on the unknown men, how the hits were planned. Bharat mata ki jai hit was great, Dawood hit was also great but seemed bit forced. Also the way jaskirat’s return is arranged was also very cheesy topical Bollywood style, which kind of didn’t fit the raw nature of the rest of the movie. BGM was good, except the use didi in Baluch reception they could have found something new like in part 1. Too much nostalgia with some of BGM was little tiring. it is a worthy successor. Hopefully Netflix doesn’t murder it like part 1 & puts up the entire film without cuts. Edited March 23 by IndianRenegade Sgattick10 1
