Definitely. But Gauti has a fetish for him and Rana.  He is a clutch player. Massive limitations in this format. Hope Axar permanently replaces Jaddu.

Sundar is clutch for Tests but liability in the LOI format.

Parag should've been given more opportunities and am a bit disappointed with Nitish Reddy's progress or lack thereof. I had high hopes from him after the MCG ton and his Aussie tour but he has regressed, or maybe the Aus tour was an exception. Since the Aussie tour he has neither looked comfortable in Tests nor in shorter formats and he has been given quite a number of chances. IMO he better show something soon coz in India you don't get too many chances given the lengthy talent pipeline.

PS: I am talking about ICFs obsession on targeting Kannadigas in the last few days be it mariyams thread or umpteen posts on Kannadigas

Has the batting till 8/9 but this is very contingent on how NKR/Rana develops in the next few years. There is a reason these two are being tried out a lot.

That team isn't winning the cup. Need to have at least two lefties top of the order, and one of them an opener. Lefties at the top works and a left-right combo is the way as bowlers are able to find the right line & length against right-handers (or all lefties) easily as they don't have to adjust at all. See how adding Samson to a leftie top order made a difference in WT20. Similarly we need to add Jaiswal as opener and one of Sai/Tilak at 3 (or 4). We can't go in with 6-7 right handers as they'll be easy to ties down with left arm spinners or leg spinners. Need a right mix of lefties & righties to make it difficult for the opposition.

Shall Ind batters develop lap/ramp shot fr this Odi world cup. Ind batting too monotonous and impetus only comes from Iyer.

Now that the wc is in non-sc conditions Iyer can not bash spin, so its up-to other to take-up the responsibility and add few more attacking shots.

 

Why Ind batters needs to add attacking shots??-- Other top teams would have good proportion of their t20i batters in the side so they can hot 4/6 at higher rate than Ind batters who would be amongst the batting line-up with least no. of t20 batters. And those 40 ball 60s from Kl , on such pitches it looks like it was more of a 40 ball-75-80 runs pitches.

 

How and where Ind can get 20-25 runs above par is the question

Every team so far has played atleat 2 games, does nt look like Ind is going to get a fast bowling allrounder and a LH middle order batter with this IPL

NKRs bowling seems to have really improved? Or so I read.

 

I would love for Auqib to be given a run test him as bowling AR but Mukesh and Natarajan both doing well for DC
