vvvslaxman Posted March 26 Author Posted March 26 People talk a lot of these three. Richardson is the one who destroyed us in the late 1980s series. He destroyed Aussies too. He was world no1 for a while. Breathtaking pull shots leg glances and backfoot square drive he got the full repertoire of calypso shots. Can't remember which match. After some insane hitting he pulled something. Richards massaged his hand. Tillu 1

They had a batting ratting called Deloittes batting rating. He had just entered the ranking by 1987. THen he reached top ranking. Vengsarkar was world no.1 batsman for 2 years.

Richie Richardson was great to watch, but partly because of his name, he was always "Little Richards". Plus, if I recall correctly, his drop-off was quite rapid, too

He was far and ahead of every batsmen from both sides https://www.espncricinfo.com/records/series/batting-most-runs-career/india-in-west-indies-test-series-1988-89-299 Then he went on to top scored in Australia series https://www.espncricinfo.com/records/series/batting-most-runs-career/the-frank-worrell-trophy-1990-91-315 BacktoCricaddict 1
Tillu Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Our version of Shakib Al Hasan. Never seen an Indian batter do this, men or women since we started playing cricket.
Tillu Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Just another day for Steve Bucknor against India. He definitely was under the payroll of CA.
