Had I been the IPL CHairman, I would have only kept 2 Offshore positions- 1 Batsmen/AR and 1 bowler/AR in the 11.  2 /11 offshore players give enough global look- no more required. i would have allowed to keep 4 or 5 players to choose- teams could buy only 4 or even 5 abroad players.

i guess now teams can play 4 outside players in 11 which is just too much, what"s the point of calling it INDIAN premier league if half of the team are foreigners.

Are we looking at growing and making foreign players richer?

if some foreign pacers will go for PSL , i shall be happy as I am keen to see how kuldeep sen/gurnoor/mayank/ashok and other indian fast bowlers and indian batsmen perform.

I also hope that they prepare pitches that are a bit green, else on patta's many west indian/australian/african batsmen can beat a Virat Kohli in a t20 match.  Fast bowlers should have some chance and spinners should not have much purchase , a good spinner should be skilled enough to suceed on tracks that dont assist.

I picked MI to win it all. They seem like the most balanced outfit.

For the two most irrelevant awards -

Purple cap: "Other" - I think someone like Prasidh Krishna will have a low impact but take a lot of wickets from mishits in death overs.

Orange cap: Kohli - I think Kohli will have the most stellar low-impact IPL. He will finish with the most runs with a modest SR.

Bhai, aren't they the Titans? Are you the only one who calls them the Wolves?

I am glad this tactic was not used in the final lol

I didnt see first few overs and the wickets for SRH..but I think..in the final..Abhishek was willing to watch few initial balls..and Sanju was a bigger threat for opposition with that form and zen mode..plus Left Right batting combo and different surface..

That was quick! :giggle:

But IMO they should've let Mustafizur be part of the IPL. He could've sat on the bench the whole season and that would've been a much better way to handle the situation and teach lesson to KKR for picking him in the first place.

Is Gujarat even the natural habitat of wolves?

you would have the same enjoyment if the bowlers are replaced by bowling machines.every swipe across the line went for 6 .

The game yesterday had poor bowling and exceptional batting.

A one off game can’t be the representative of how fun or unfun the entire IPL is.

Has this IPL become very predictable?

I know it's only been 4 games, but most of us would have predicted the result of the first four games correctly just by looking at the squads. I expect DC to take down LSG tomorrow unless Marsh comes good. Don't expect much from other players.

This year looks like -

MI, RCB, PBKS, RR, DC

gulf

Other 5 teams.

Today's performance confirms this.
