Yes that era is over where people used to gush over 29-35ball 50s or 60-70 ball 100s

They will struggle for their whole mechanism is based on that rate of scoring, muscle memory won't change overnight

50 should be scored within 30 deliveries and a 100 within 55 balls. The days of scoring 35-40 ball 50s and 65-70 ball 100s are over.

Unless match is played in B'desh dustbowls or low, slow, turning tracks in SL where par score is 150, the SR needs to be higher.

 

Also, the way game has changed it makes more sense to track 35 and 70 as the new milestones in T20s than 50s & 100s. In T20s a quick score of 35 or a 70 is match-changing. If a batter consistently gets to 35+ that's good enough. And a score of 70+ is a long innings in T20s. We don't need to have milestones which mattered in ODIs and Tests in T20s. Same with bowling as 3 wkts is like a 5-fer in T20s. These would be much more meaningful stats than the ones which we currently track.
