putrevus Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Why is Ashish Nehra not getting lot of publicity , he has turned GT into powerhouse. Three finals and playoffs every year except one. Gambhir landed Indian coahing job based on being mentor. Lord and BacktoCricaddict 2

Bowling reserves are good, and they would really thrive on pacy pitches which has juice. But on flat pattas or spinning tracks...GT will hit a brick. RR dug their grave by not maximising the impetus given by Vaibhav...even in eliminator 1 it was him, Archer and Jurel who performed...rest all were joke. In eliminator 2 Jurel flopped and Vaibhav had to carry the team alone...Jadeja was doing his own selfish things and once Archer had a bad day...there was no safety net to fall back on. tweaker 1

What I look is does franchise have any plan, Nehra has loaded the team with bowlers. They can keep any team down to manageable totals. 3 finals in such a short span is a great achievement. He lost his captain and premier all rounder and still have remained a powerhouse. They chased 215 with breeze, let me know when any other franchise chase totals over 240 when top three are gone cheaply. RR has one batsman and one bowler. RCB has two bowlers if they go for runs then they are cooked. Every team has weakness.

As of now all i have is some hazy youtube videos. On a road wicket in raji final Nabi did well against a good team. Need to see him in real match scenario as well before summarily dismiss him. https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/ranji-trophy-2025-26-1492381/karnataka-vs-jammu-kashmir-final-1492524/full-scorecard checked Gurnoor brara in Ranji.. He averages 47.50 in 2 matches. Looks like a poor returns. Also 52 runs in 18 matches that is less than 2 wickets per match. pretty unimpressive stats in List A and T20. Seems like a totally wild card pick. Plus this is a one-off non-WTC match against Afg - not a great test side. Almost like an Ind-A match. Perfect opportunity to see what someone like Nabi can do on the big-ish stage. They should've gone with a test-pace attack of Prasidh, Nabi, Brar.

tweaker Posted June 3 Posted June 3 (edited) Aaqib Nabi has been called up as a net bowler . He is among a group of seven players brought in to help Indian batsmen with practice due to the heavy workload and travel on fast bowlers like Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna The other net bowlers with the team are Gurjapneet Singh, Prince Yadav, Saransh Jain, Zeeshan Ansari and Shivang Kumar. tweaker Posted June 3 Posted June 3 BCCI should have arranged a 3 day practice match ie Board President 11,India A,Ranji winner before the test express bowling 1
