Sanju and Klassen had an on field spat too but both put an end to in classy fashion. Why can't Kohli do something similar, atleast for PR purposes? Why would he do that? the joker actually precipitated the matter on field. What a childish idiocy? Not shaking hands etc. He’s nothing to do with Indian cricket He lives in London and is just a mercenary. GoldenSun, nevada, Gollum and 1 other 4

But totally different ballgame to go after a player's family and threaten them. How does threatening to r**e a player's sister, wife and daughter, or threatening to kill the player and family related to the examples you shared? Are you condoning such behavior? I am not. How about you? Here there was no threat - Snow was physically assaulted by a fan on the field. Was the fan put on trial and a lengthy jail sentence? He was not even identified. Where were the police? https://www.espn.com/cricket/story/_/id/23268155/sydney-terror-owns-1971-incident-30-december-1998 Fans pelted him with beer cans - were they identified and arrested? Well no...... Are you condoning such behavior? By the fans and the authorities and the police? Edited May 25 by AKane

Just because Snow was assaulted or treated that way by Aussie fans 50 years ago doesn't mean Indian fans, or anyone else get a free pass to have a go at Aussie players, especially their families. This is the classic case of "two wrongs don't make a right". Don't like this behavior and wish they would be held accountable and penalized so there's example set for others who act in similar fashion. Threatening assault should come with some detriment. See from the fact it was Snow whose career was messed up by Aussie whining to that sand paper gate incident which should have meant "everyone" involved with that banned for life - they always get a slap on the wrist. One year? please..... This sandpaper incident they got caught - they have prolly been doing it for decades - people just did not have enough cameras then.... Imagine if an Indian had been involved in sandpaper gate - Indians would have immediately asked for ban from cricket and prolly got it. Will address the assault threats elsewhere.

No really? All assault threats should be reported to police and legal action taken. That is the right way. Lock up the person and I am fine with that. All assault threats should be taken seriously. On social media or elsewhere. Assault threats are not fought over in social media but with law enforcement. But your opinion might vary.... I am just pointing out that actual assault on John Snow in Australia for bowling fast and hostile should not be swept under the rug on the excuse it was "50 years ago". So what? Lock up that man even if he is 90 years old.... Ah Statute of limitations? Figures...... I do not subscribe to "threats of assault against Australians is serous" vs "Actual assault by Australians is trivial". Both are serious and both need to be prosecuted.
vvvslaxman Posted May 25 Posted May 25 These kohli bhakts went after Indian cricketers as well when we were winning matches. They were hoping India would crash out so that they could gloat India can't win without Kohli.
AKane Posted May 25 Posted May 25 "Where's your visa" chant at the MCG. I am sure there is worse in stands ...... but what to do. The police won't do anything. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-01-09/mcg-boxing-day-test-australia-india-chant-video/104795666 As an advice to Indian fans in Aus - if some place in US is hostile to me.... I don't go there. Simple. Now if you want to go to Giants stadium in NJ as an Eagles fan.... be prepared for abuse right from the parking lot.
Sandz Posted May 25 Posted May 25 All RCB fans and by extension all Kannadigas and South Indians are vile racist people @New guy, X should be banned in India. New guy 1
AKane Posted May 25 Posted May 25 I don't have any problem with action against Indian fans who are misbehaving or threatening. Far from it. Throw the book at them. I just want same applied to Aus fans when India tours Australia - exactly the same. No "Oh that is just sledging", "Australian fans are tough", "Australia is a hard place to play" BS being fed to visiting Indian teams.

I've no soft spot for Aussies and would love to see them targeted in a "politically correct" manner, i.e. the same way Aussie media or players treat visiting team and players. Make fun of them, ridicule them, have media articles questioning them or their ethics to undermine their confidence, question their talent etc. I'm all for it and would love to see Aussies cry about it. But leave their families out of it, especially assault threats, sexual or otherwise. Troll them as hard as possible but the kind of behavior on display after the 2023 WC final, or the way Kohli fans went after Gill and his family after his knock knocked out RBC couple of years ago, or what we're seeing now with Head and family is unacceptable. That's what I'm against. Love to see Aussies cry but not in this manner. Edited May 26 by Ultimate_Game Gollum, nevada, AKane and 3 others 6
JazzyB Posted May 26 Posted May 26 Money does not buy class and these kohli fans are absolute bottom tier low lives and pure misogynists While Kohli can claim ignorance he is certainly an enabler by being silent not just in this episode but in so many in the past all it takes is a tweet from him to ask his fans to lower the vitriol and personal attacks but he doesnt have the cojones to do so unlike msd, kohli is always on social media so that is no excuse Lone Wolf, Ultimate_Game and New guy 3
