daryl1985 Posted May 30 Posted May 30 England are really underwhelming, look like no-hopers for this upcoming WC.

vvvslaxman Posted May 30 Author Posted May 30 Yastika is full of intent. Female Abhishek sharma. Comes down the wicket every single ball. Whether it works or not she is showing full of intent. Probably inspired by our young left handers from the men side
vvvslaxman Posted May 30 Author Posted May 30 Jemima should have come ahead of Harmanpreet. Hitting every single ball straight to fielder
vvvslaxman Posted May 30 Author Posted May 30 Bhatia sslowed down. Harman 4 dots in a row. What the heck last 2 overs just yielded 5 runs.
Ultimate_Game Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Watching the T20 match between Ind (W) and Eng(W) and our middle overs batting is pathetic. Play 3 dot balls and take a single, or hit a 4 and then play the next 4 balls as dot. Aussies should win the T20 WC with Eng as 2nd favorites. Indian women simply don't have power hitters. They manage to hit boundaries in PP but once PP is done, can't do much. Today India was cruising chasing 168 and were 55 after PP overs and then simply couldn't do anything the Reqd rate now is over 12! Yastika Bhatia would make KL Rahul look like Viv Richards and Smriti Mandhana is like Rahane, pottering around without doing much.
Ultimate_Game Posted May 30 Posted May 30 If you lack power hitting and can't hit 6s, at least don't play dots. But we can neither hit big nor rotate the strike.

But when the bowl slower one she has no clue what to do with it

But we can neither hit big nor rotate the strike. She is bamboozled by slow leg cutters. India conceded 39 runs in the last 2 overs. Reddy bowled pace on conceded 24 runs in 20th over. England was heading towards an under par total. She is retired out now Edited May 30 by vvvslaxman

Lone Wolf Posted May 30 Posted May 30 (edited) Both teams seem to be on experimental mode... WC would be totally different. Nothing to take away from this series. Bhatia's comeback was good but she slowed down even in that game after PP Edited May 30 by Lone Wolf

Eating 36 balls to score 32 She played well in the first match. Looked like improved. Even today she was okay at the start. Once they started taking pace off they lost the plot
Lone Wolf Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Young Freya kemp is the kind of player we lack. Solid all round ability. Comes down to raw talent
vvvslaxman Posted May 30 Author Posted May 30 This loss is on ARundathi reddy's crap over. Englad struggled against slow cutters. She came and fed pace on deliveries. They hit every ball down the ground 4s and 6s
Ultimate_Game Posted May 30 Posted May 30 It's the same old problem. We have only one hitter in Richa Ghosh, and very occasionally Harmanpreet may hit a few but we simply don't have hitters to challenge T20 cup. Our sweet spot is still 140-160 with even 160 against top teams a challenge. Our best bet is to bat first, score 160+ and hope our bowlers show up. But don't think we can chase anything beyond 140-150.
