I don't really care about IPL finals. But Gill has been MIA so far in intls. If he fails in the next ODI WC, I wouldn't even want to have him in the team as a player, forget as a captain.

That's why want clutch performers like Ishan, Pandya, Axar in the team coz these players somehow manage to find a way in pressure matches. And in T20s you can also add names like Dube, Tilak and Krunal.

Selectors need to identify players who raise their games in big matches else we'll struggle. I've no faith in Gill and KL doing so. Rohit is too old and unfit and Kohli would be nearing 40 as well. I'm seriously worried about our WC chances and we have options! Get in Sooryavanshi to play the Rohit role. Get in Ishan as wk. Do away with Sundar and Jadeja and play Axar in their place.

It is not a shock India started winning after we dropped KL Rahul

Here is the world T20 record of Indian batsmen against non minnows.Look where Rahul is and check avge and strike rate. Technically sound player they say.  Also check Jadeja.

The title says it all. There is lot of hype and hoopla surrounding the oldies being part of the squad and taking the talented youngster's places.

The test/ODI vice captain who is still in his mid-late 20s just threw the towel in the all important final.
Whereas the "Oldie" King mastered the chase to take his team to second consecutive title.

Give respect to the wise and dependable Oldies. Do away with this fascination for Youngsters just because they have "tailunt".

IPL is a quasi domestic tournament with a low quality bowling and bad quality pitches. Never ever take the performance here for international level.

Kohli is master of such moderate chases. Anything below 190 and GT weren't winning against Kohli in opposite side.

As far as comparison is concerned,Kohli anyday >>>Gill as of now. Kohli for all his failure in ICC tournament finals was already clutch and most important player at Gill's age (26). He pulled off so many memorable victories by the age of 26 while Gill is yet to play anythig noteworthy for India in KOs.

Don't agree completely as we all saw during the recent WT20. We played a team full of IPL stars for the first time and they delivered like the way do in IPL. They scored 250+ in knockouts which was unheard of and demolished teams. The only match they lost was when they had Sundar at 4. Whenever they had the team selection right, they clobbered the opponents just like they do in IPL. In fact if SKY had been replaced by a performing captain like Iyer or Patidar, we would've been even more dominant!
