Can't just walk in and assume captaincy, prove that you deserve a spot in the XI. I am not sure Iyer>Patidar right now. And considering venue of next WC, need to be careful. Why complicate matters? Make Sanju or Ishan the captain. Both are clutch, deserve their place in the XI and also have captaincy experience, Sanju in RR and Ishan for SRH (briefly) and U-19/SMAT.
