jf1gp_1 Posted June 28 Posted June 28 (edited) Unfortunately, media needs something new to talk about every day. Result is fans need something new every day. Sanju samson single handedly won 3 games and a world cup. WC winning captain has been dropped now we want to drop the man who won us world cup. Same with Tilak, guy is young. He is learning his game. We just want a change for the heck of it no rational behind it. By the way, we wanted Abhishek Sharma out of t20 team just few t20 international back. People need to settle down. It would have been non story if there was no force called Vaibhav waiting in the wings.Everyone in the line up is on notice.

Here's the thing with Samson though - not playing him against Ireland is not dropping him, it's resting him. Yes, Ireland beat us, but that was improbable. They are still a 2nd rung team, and there's no reason to play our first XI against them. Samson and Abhishek should be told that they are always the first choice until they hit a string of failures. And one of them should've been rested against Ireland in match 1, and the other today.

I supported Tilak in the past..however..I dint like stat padding in SL series..even though its a diff format..I dont like such attitude.. secondly.. him being made a VC..why.. with Iyer and him in the middle order we have 2 consolidators its going to affect team balance.. either rest him or iyer..but they hv ensured none of them can be out nevada and Suhaan 2

Frustrated Posted July 1 Posted July 1 The guy has been playing test inning in every T20 match. Yet can't last long enough at the crease. cricspirit and tapandrun 2
Vickydev Posted July 1 Posted July 1 His real age needs to be figured out. Looks older by about 5 years than his age on paper

tapandrun Posted July 1 Posted July 1 (edited) 37 minutes ago, Lord said: His only scoring shots are sweeps and reverse sweeps And his conventional sweep is for 6-hitting, its not like he can sweep along the ground or in the gaps for 4s. Issue is he has to put effort to hit, he is unable to score effortlessly and if there is only 1 way he can score then he does not have the kind of confidence that he can do it when situation is where the team is behind the game. If team is behind the game he will just get stuck and score nothing as that will req. him to take risk Edited July 1 by tapandrun Lord 1

Tillu Posted July 2 Posted July 2 He was never good to begin with. He doesn't have the range nor the finesse to manufacture shots and at Wankhede everybody can look like a million bucks. We should never consider runs scored on some of the Indian grounds.
Gollum Posted July 2 Posted July 2 No need to write off our youngsters based on a few bad games. Same Tilak produced nice cameos in the KOs of recent WC. He will definitely bounce back. Long way to go before 2028 (we play 60-70 T20Is before LA Olympics I think). Better lose form now than just before a major tourney. Ultimate_Game and Lord 2
cowboysfan Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Tilak needs a long break to figure out his game and his spin problems, the problem is he is not getting any break at all.

We are only discussing due to our lofty bench strength now. He's keeping out Rinku, Reddy and possibly Parag. Guy needs a break Gollum and Ultimate_Game 2
