Do not see why in India so much of rigidity about players who were in WC T20 team should not be dropped at all ?  Why? Do we have another WC in next 6-8 months ? It defies logic. This is the time one need to experiment and try to find a alternative option for each position. If you do not try put new young players ,are you going to do that when you are 6-7 months way from WC in 2028?  No other good international team does this . Most of the established stars in each team play sporadically once main WC event gets over  for some time . Now this has been taken to the extreme where even if a player makes 0s or sigle digit scores for 4-5 matches , still people get upset if he is benched . Very bad precedent ! Play guys who are winning matches now .

Samson must feel miffed and angry to lose his spot. What loyality have Indian team shown towards him after leading India to world t20 by playing the ATG great knocks in all three knockout matches where without him India was not sniffing the trophy.

 

He should have been one of the candidates to become captain of the team instead he is sitting out.
