How much more of this Iyer disaster do we have to endure

Some people think players are robots. They have insecurities and feelings just like everyone else. Locker room has stong bond. When an outsider like Iyer with no great credentials has come in to captain over a players who just won World cup and have looked the best team in t20 history.

For the stunt they have pulled both GG and Agarkar have to be held accountable. Both idiots have played the game and should have understood locker room dynamics.

GG has lost the trust of players which lot of coaches take ages to develop.

Iyer is the last guy to be blamed here.Anyone in his shoes would do the same thing he has done.He is under enormous pressure, he is an outsider still.

The Gambhir-Iyer combination might not work for too long. There are some media rumours that Gambhir wanted to retain Samson in the XI throughout the series, but Iyer had a disagreement with him and brought in Sooryavanshi.

The rumours might be true based on the comments of all coaching staff at the start of the series about backing T20 WC players. And also how Gambhir keeps having long conversations with Samson even when he is not playing.

Before Shreyas was chosen Captain, there were reports that Gambhir wanted Samson as captain and Agarkar strongly wanted Shreyas.

So what you are saying has a high probability of being true.

Thats a mess and needs to be sorted out ASAP. I think it was a wrong decision to have Iyer as captain but its extremely unfair to him if coach is against him and favoring Samson like that. One of them needs to go

There is nothing to suggest that coach is against him after his selection.

But both are strongly opinionated and there will be difference in opinion from time to time.

Everyone is a disaster? Please tell me who should have been made captain and would result have been different? I am will to bet people will name someone who isn't even squad like Patidar or someone.

So you suddenly think players who were world beaters just months ago all turned awful in 2 series? Come on dude

Why are peope not learning from the mumbai indians fiasco? Then people like you were abusing Bumrah and calling him a disaster

No, everyone is not a disaster all of a sudden. We brought an outsider captain who didn't even deserve his place and this caused poltiics and insecurity which will destroy any team.

Your suggestion of getting Patidar in is equally brain dead because it will cause the same situation and same insecurity.

Players who have played and won cups deserve to be captain. Stop using tamasha leagues to bring undeserving guys not only into team, but directly to captaincy. First let them prove themselves as players in international.

More pain to come. I would have preferred a completely new set of player slike prabhsimran, arya getting exposure on these tours. May be with Vaibhav . Ayush Mhatre handled vaibhav very well. He himself is an aggressive batsman. He never tried tocmpete with him in U19. He buckled down and fed strike to him. Playing an established high strike batsman ABhishek with Vaibhav make the pair incompatible as both could fail at the same time.  Vaibhav and Sanju should have been tried once.

Why do you respond to my post when you don't understand what i wrote? Everyone is a disaster was a sarcastic remark. Did you read beyond that line? I bet you didnt. One correction my post needs is it has 'get' when i wanted to write 'bet'

The exact opposite.

Name anyone in the winning WC 11 as captain, anyone .. and the results would have been better.

A person, who was thought to be not good enough for the T20I squad even, is suddenly their boss. Who would like it ?  I would not. I guess you wouldn't either.

This is a wrecked team spirit issue.

Cricketing reasons don't result in 0 - 6 including 0 -2 against Ireland ( for a Team winning everything in the last 2 years ).

i have rephrased my post.

I also disagree with your assessment of new boss causing problem. By that logic corporate world would never have lateral hires. Two series has shown the need to adjust to wickets in england/south africa and stop playing on small grounds where mishits are 6.

In corporate analogy, Iyer would be a manager in a regional branch who suddenly enters the head office as the company's new CEO. Some senior executives in that head office may not like the fact that this guy skipped the ladder and went straight to the top.

Team has not become bad overnight.Iyer becoming captain has undone whole team spirit. Players have lost faith in coaching staff as well.

If Samson or Kishen became captain and Vaibhav was replacing SKY, it would have been completely different ball game.

Players would have been secure about their positions.

That analogy doesnt work. It would be equivalent of selecting someone from a small 100 employee company and making him ceo of a MNC over qualified experienced internals

These same guys were hitting huge 80, 90+ m sixes easily but nice to see you parrot pakistani propaganda about mishits in IPL. Guess thats how Iyer PR works online. But they forget we actually saw the IPL.

Iyer has way less skills and talent compared to samson, abhishek and Surya. If he can score 80s on these pitches, anyone can.

The fact that he is now outright parroting propaganda about mishits in IPL, when all of these guys were hitting huge 80, 90+ m sixes easily in IPL, is very telling

Thats how Iyer PR works online, on twitter, reddit etc.

These guys forget we actually watched the IPL and know that the narrative about mishits is false

Any lie to defend their beloved PR king Iyer.
