Andy Posted August 15, 2011 Share Posted August 15, 2011 gutted, just gutted. wenger has let fabregas and the fans down hugely, he had a once in a lifetime player at the club and surrounded him with dross like eboue, almunia, denilson etc and today is the result of this mismanagement. BERGKAMP Posted August 15, 2011 Share Posted August 15, 2011 The board is only interested in making profits and as long as Wenger keeps getting us into the champions league they don't really care about much else because the cash will be rolling in. Also Arsenal has a huge fanbase and demand for tickets will always be there so fans get screwed by the board in paying the highest ticket prices in the country for seeing the 4th best team in the league. A lot of fans are becoming very angry and he is walking on a very tight rope now, if big signings are not made to replace Cesc and Nasri he will be under more pressure than ever before. Wenger is rightly or wrongly fixated on winning with youngsters who have proven nothing and only have potential (this has been failing for 6 years). He needs to get over this 'moral crusade' and realize the only way he is going to compete with Chelsea, UTD and Man City is by buying proven quality players at current market prices. In come Chu Young Park Mikel Arteta Andre Santos Yossi Benayoun Per Mertersacker Will be interesting to see how they settle into the team, maybe the 8-2 was a blessing in disguise!
