The singer, Ramana Gogula is a Telugu NRI who later became a music director and gave amazing music to some of the Telugu movies. This song was constantly played on MTV and is still fresh and pleasant to the ears.

This was another song from Gautam Vasudev Menon where the original was already done by Simbu by the same director. Perhaps the last Ar Rahman song which was a true chartbuster. The picturisation of this song was probably inspired from "Unbreak my heart" by Toni Braxton in the 90s.
