u sure didi wont canuse any problems?
I think Didi is not reliable, but there are other parties like YSR cong, JDU will be there as backup. BTW best strategy for BJP is not to have a pre-poll alliance with TDP so that they can take support from either TDP or YSR cong or both :giggle: Amma has already said she is going alone, this means she will bargain hard for support.

Modi is projected as strong leader and corporate India is fully backing Modi..His rhetorical speeches are entertaining for the masses whereas Rahul gandhi is boring. Obviously there is huge anti-incumbency factor, and people are fed up with price rise. All these factor will help BJP. They should maximize their seats in UP and Bihar..Gujarath . maharashtra, MP, chattisgarh, Rajasthan will anyway go to BJP. Karnataka is divided , it can get 10/12 seats.

Google dips into CSR budget, ties up with Election Commission for voters’ registration

NEW DELHI: While political alliances are yet to firm up for 2014 polls, the Election Commission (EC) has already entered a key partnership with US-based internet giant, Google, to help it manage online voter registration and facilitation services ahead of the democratic exercise. Over the next six months, Google will offer EC its resources, including its search engine, to enable voters to check their enrolment status online and locate their polling station, complete with directions using Google Maps. The "arrangement" between EC and Google is learnt to have been clinched late this month, and is expected to be "operational" by the second week of January. As part of the partnership, Google will put its worldwide network and resources at the Commission's disposal until June 2014 to help it manage online registration of new voters and allow the enrolled ones to check the address at which they are registered, and get directions to the polling station. With the new rolls with reference to January 1, 2014, slated to be out by January 6, the voters' queries on the Commission website are likely to be managed by Google starting from the second week of January. Google will not charge the EC for these services, estimated to cost $50,000 (over Rs 30 lakh), and fund the same from its corporate social responsibility (CSR) budget. "The EC is going ahead with the use of hi-tech and professional expertise to manage online enrolment of voters and search a voter's name in electoral rolls along with the polling station. "So, all that one needs to do now is to type his name/EPIC no and address on the Google Search engine, which will promptly generate results matching the voters' name with his assembly/Lok Sabha constituency, and pinpointing the location of his polling station...in fact, Google Maps will give exact directions to the voter on how to get to the correct polling station on the polling day," explained a senior EC official. Google is offering similar services across 100 countries as part of its CSR obligations. The American firm had approached the EC some time ago to offer its expertise for better management of online services on the Commission's website, particularly voter enrolment and facilitation. The Commission, which felt that the management of its online interface with the voters left much scope for improvement, welcomed the offer from the "global leader" and the two signed on the dotted line recently. EC is also exploring the option of using the worldwide network and servers of Google for dissemination of results for the 2014 general election likely to be held in May. EC had tied up with US-based IT firm Akamai for putting out results for the recent assembly polls in five states. The use of 272 servers of Akamai across the world to disseminate the results, as against barely two servers in use during the 2009 Lok Sabha poll, ensured that the ECI website could handle the millions of hits it received per minute on the counting day (December 8).

3 parties may join NDA:

The BJP's ability to win over new allies highlighting its prime minister candidate Narendra Modi will taste its first success when a few parties in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh join the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The first expansion of the NDA after Nitish Kumar-led JD(U)’s exit in July is expected mid-January, which marks the festivities of Pongal and Sankranti in the two southern states. Vaiko-led MDMK and S Ramadoss-led PMK in Tamil Nadu and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh are set to join the NDA. The BJP also hopes it will successfully woo Tamil actor-turned politician Vijayakanth, who leads the DMDK and is assiduously being wooed by the Congress and the DMK too. To try its luck in coastal areas, the saffron party finally decided to stay hitched to the TDP led by Chandrababu Naidu than with Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSR Congress in Andhra Pradesh. Naidu was with the NDA till 2004. Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu, who is keen for a tie-up with the TDP, is counting on some Union ministers from Seemandhra region to contest under the BJP banner. In Tamil Nadu, the PMK and the MDMK will formalise their decision to support Modi this week. Vaiko and Ramadoss concluded parleys with central BJP leaders a few days ago. Vaiko confirmed that he had held talks with BJP leaders, saying his MDMK's main objectives were to remove the Congress-led government at the centre and also prevent formation of any other Congress-supported government. According to Vaiko, support for the BJP was gaining and a "Modi wave" was visible across the country. In fact, both Vaiko and Ramadoss had welcomed the BJP’s announcement of Modi as the PM candidate. While Vaiko has pockets of influence in southern Tamil Nadu, Ramadoss' party influence is over the Vanniyar community in northern part of the state. Besides the MDMK and the PMK, the BJP hopes it could stitch a rainbow alliance by including regional outfits like Kongunadu Munnetra Kazhagam and Thevar Paervai. The BJP's decision to leading a front of smaller parties came after Modi addressed a huge rally in Tiruchi in September. Its leaders decided against aligning with the DMK due to its image as a corrupt party. Jayalalithaa-led AIADMK made it clear that it was not keen for any alliance with a national party. The saffron party eyes Kanyakumari, Coimbatore, Tiruchi, Tirupur and the Nilgiris Lok Sabha constituencies it had won in the 1998 and 1999 Lok Sabha polls. Already, BJP cadres are on village-to-village campaign called "Veeduthorum Modi, Ullamthorum Thamarai (Modi in every household and lotus in every heart)". It seeks to highlight Modi’s achievements and corruption under the UPA.

With just a few months left for the elections, Mulayam Singh is doing all he can do appease the Muslims. The latest step is the appointment of Rizwan Ahmad as DGP of UP. He is the first Muslim to hold the post. Here's the problem - he will retire on Feb 14 so he will hold the post for just 45 days!!!!

MDMK and PMK are useless parties to ally with on their own. Both of them either need DMK or an AIADMK alliance to win some seats. The only TN party that can do well without the two major Dravidian parities is the DMDK.

Narendra Modi launches mobile application called 'India272+'

In a bid to consolidate the mandate received in the recent state assembly elections and achieve the magic figure of 272 in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi launched a mobile application called 'India272+'. According to Modi's website, the application is available on the Google Play Store and can be downloaded for free by Android users. The application, which was launched yesterday, seeks to take BJP's Mission 272+ to a wide range of volunteers across the country. The mobile application enables volunteers to participate in open fora and share thoughts, ideas for upcoming speeches by Modi. The application allows volunteers to share latest updates through social media including Facebook and Twitter as well as smartphone applications like WhatsApp. "Launched India 272+ mobile app. the app will further empower volunteers to contribute easily, effectively and creatively," Modi tweeted. While launching the mobile application, Modi expressed confidence that it would go a long way in not only strengthening the bond between existing volunteers, but would also draw more volunteers to the India272+ platform. Modi welcomed the innovative use of technology in expanding the larger BJP family and seeking the contribution of the volunteers. Earlier, a website India272.com was launched before the recent assembly polls in the five states.
