Since last few days, I have seen quite a few jokes on Narendra Modi's foreign visits.... and all people are curious why Narendra Modi visits so many countries, and what is India achieving from it. . . Narendra Modi is no greenhorn in politics and statecraft. . . He has already achieved more for Gujarat in his tenure as CM there than any Indian state ever had. . . Few hidden (because the main stream media will purposely ignore them) achievements are given below: . . 1. BJP Govt. convinced Saudi Arabia not to charge “On-Time Delivery Premium charges" on Crude Oil – Young Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan & External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj sealed the deal. Saved the country thousands of crores... . . 2. India will build 4 Hydroelectric power stations + Dams in Bhutan (India will get lion's share in Green energy that will be produced in future from these projects) . . 3. India will build Biggest ever dam of Nepal (China was trying hard to get that) – India will get 83% Green energy produce from that hydro power station for free – in future. . . . . 4. Increased relationship with Japan and they agreed to invest $ 30 Billion in DMIC (Delhi – Mumbai Investment Corridor). That's Rs 200,000 crores by today's exchange rates..... . . 5. Increased strategic relationship with Vietnam and Vietnam has now agreed to give contract of Oil exploration to ONGC-Videsh (UPA was not ready to take this at all because they were worried about China – and getting into a conflict of interests on south China sea). The UPA had always been on the backfoot about every aspect of foreign policy. . . 6. Increase Oil Imports from Iran, despite the ban by USA. . Iran agreed to sell in Indian Rupees and it saved our Forex, not just for now, but protected India from future currency fluctuations. India also gets to build “Chabahar” port of Iran, encircling Pakistan. Because we well have exclusive access for our Naval ships in this port. . . 7. India – Australia (NaMo is first PM to visit Australia after 28 yrs), despite Australia being a major supplier of Coal & Uranium. . . NaMo was able to convince Tony Abbott and now Australia will supply Uranium for our energy production. . 8. China leaning President Rajapakse lost elections in Sri Lanka – Remember UPA lost “Hambantota” port development – read latest report of CIA, where they mention RAW has played a major role in power shift of Sri Lanka. Now Modi has confirmed he is visiting Sri Lanka in April. And Sri Lanka has backed out of Chinese contract and shifted to Indian project managers. . . 9. With China, as Trade Deficit was increasing, NaMo forced their hand. Anti-Dumping will come soon so China will invest heavily into India. – China has already committed $ 20 billion Investment in India. That's nearly ₹140,000 crores. . . . 10. On Security – I think adding Ajit Doval to his team is the best decision by NaMo. See the recent tie-up with Pentagon, Israel & Japan. . . Remember I. K. Gujaral as PM stopped RAW’s offensive operations in foreign countries. . Now see how we stopped the Terror Boat and listen to his words … “Any Mumbai like attack from Pakistan and Pakistan will lose Baluchistan!" That's the language of deterrence that I want to hear as an Indian. We won't hit first, but if you do, we surely won't turn the other cheek.. . 11. India approved the border road in the NorthEast and around India- China border – Remember just because of China’s opposition, the ADB (Asian Development Bank) didn’t give us funds during UPA regime and UPA held that file under “Environment Ministry control – Remember the infamous “JAYANTHI TAX "? No one bothered about the disastrous effect on our armed forces. . . . 12. India managed to bring back 4,500+ Indians from War zone in Yemen and also brought foreign nationals of 41 different countries, which put India’s name onto the highest platform globally in conducting that rescue mission – PM Narendra Modi specially talked to the new Saudi Arabian king Salman and told him to allow Indian Airforce planes to fly – as Saudi Arabia was attacking on Yemen and Yemen skies was declared NO-FLY Zone: thanks to this we got an assured clear window of a few hours and guys guess who coordinated this? Ajit Doval, Sushama Swaraj and Gen V K Singh. All in person.... When was the last time you ever heard of ministers involved personally in such efforts that didn't fetch thousands of crores?? Guess the religion of those rescued?? But it isn't secular to mention that most of those rescued from Yemen or earlier from Iraq weren't Hindus at all.. . . 13. India’s Air defense was getting weaker by the day, UPA was very happy to let it happen despite repeated specific inputs from the armed forces, NaMo renegotiated Rafale fighter Jets deal with France personally and bought 36 Jets on ASAP basis. At better than rack rates. No middlemen, no commissions. 14. For the first time after 42 yrs Indian Prime Minister visited Canada not to attend some meeting but as a specific state visit, in a Bilateral deal, India was able convince to Canada to supply Uranium for India’s Nuclear reactors for next 5 years. It will be of great help to resolve India’s Power problems. . . . 15. Canada approves visa on arrival . . . . 16. Till recently we were exclusively buying Nuclear Reactors from Russia or USA and it was much like beggar kind of situation because they were worried about usage of Nuclear reactor for some other use. So only what they opted to give us, we could get. . Now Modi was able to convince France and now France will make Nuclear reactors with the latest technology in India. On MAKE IN INDIA efforts.. with collaboration with an Indian company as a partner. . . 17. During 26th Jan. visit of Barak Obama, NaMo convinced USA to drop rule of Nuclear fuel tracking and sorted out Liabilities rules which now open the gates for next 16 Nuclear power plant projects... Isn't this good enough to improve the lot of India?? .The paid media #Presstitutes will ensure you never get to hear this.Spread the word. It's worth the trouble...

BTW before blaming media you should blame BJP - they just haven't told these achievements to the public or talked about them when they get a chance on TV/papers. It isn't just media's fault that many people are disappointed with the govt after 1 year - NDA Govt has done good work but BJP has failed to inform the public in a convincing manner. That's been BJP's major failure, apart from the disastrous Delhi campaign, in the last one year.

Most of this disappointment are due to high expectations, not failures. It's like Sachin scoring 80 runs, and yet fans are disappointed as he missed the century. There are many achievements which should be known to the public. And media aren't helping in this process. And then when you mark a glorified municipal election as a failure and forget the impressive victories in MH, HR, J & K, you are just very biased. It's really been a excellent first year compared to previous central governments.

Well, Modi did create high expectations with his Presidential style Campaign focused on bringing Achche Din. Can't really blame voters for expecting more when you are the one who created those expectations with your campaign. Many people who are disappointed can be convinced if BJP would tell them about the govt's work. They have around 270-280 MPs who are not ministers - most of them don't have much work apart from Parliamentary Committees - they should be permanently put to use for communicating the govt's achievements by going go different places in India. And they should also be used in some of the govt's schemes like Swachch Bharat (not just photo ops with jhaadu in hand but actual monitoring of work being done in cleaning India). I was specifically talking about failures that is why I mentioned Delhi. And Delhi might be a glorified municipal election but it is important because of being the capital. And the disappointment wasn't the failure but the immense, and embarrassing, scale of the failure.

Has Japan promised an additional 30 Billion $$ to the $100 Billion DMIC project in addition to the 4.5 Billion $$ committed and around $ 37 Billion in loans under the UPA Govt ? Japanese cumulative commitment of Overseas Development Assistance loans to India is at 3,800 billion Japanese Yen (Rs 2,30,000 crore approximately or aprrox 37 Billion $$) as of 2013. LINK
May 8th 2015 India and Japan had agreed on a $9-billion fund with equal contribution from both sides as initial investment in the $90 billion DMIC project.
LINK This additional $ 30 Billion since modi govt has assumed power has not been reported in any business publication . Perhaps the facebook post should also have cited their sources.

LIES . ONGC-VIDESH was offered 5 Blocks in Nov 2013 . After examination of the Blocks ONGC-Videsh Accepted ONE . In April 2014 they were offered 5 more. This is from April 2014
OVL is currently operating two blocks in the country, one is producing gas and the other is still at the exploratory phase. It had relinquished one Vietnamese block about two years ago
. ONGC was looking for joint equity partner for Block 128 which was the controversial block in the south china Sea. Petro Vietnam became 50% equity partner in Oct 2014. Perhaps the rest of the FB post is also riddled with similar inaccuracies and misinformation.

NEW DELHI: India's coal production has surged by 11% in the first 45 days of 2015-16, assuming greater significance as it comes on the back of the highest increase in output in 40 years recorded last fiscal. Core sector growth dipped to a 17-month low of -0.1% in March, but coal output rose by 6% that month. "From a scenario last year when outages were common and power plants were suffering for want of coal, all power plants in the country today have an average 20 days of coal inventory. Coal supply is no longer a problem," a top government official told ET, adding that several new mines are coming on stream as even Oppositionruled states like West Bengal are now backing coal projects. In 2014-15, Coal India produced 493 million tonnes of coal. "This marked a 32 million tonne surge in output which is more than the cumulative increase recorded in the previous four years

http://www.ndtv.com/india-news/8-year-old-wrote-to-pm-narendra-modi-heres-what-she-got-764869?pfrom=home-lateststories
Agra: Eight-year-old Taiyyaba, who has congenital heart disease, hated seeing her father agonise over the cost of her treatment. While she was watching TV one day, a thought struck - why not ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi for help? Taiyyaba wrote to PM Modi explaining her heart condition and requesting financial help - doctors say her treatment could cost between Rs. 15-20 lakh. She wrote that her father was a daily wage worker at a shoe factory and hardly earned enough for the family of five. The family in Agra was shocked to receive a letter from the Prime Minister's Office, asking for details. The PM's office has directed the Delhi Government to ensure that Taiyyaba receives proper treatment regardless of the cost. "I had spoken to my mother that father is always tense and I had seen on television that the prime minister helps everybody. Even I am an Indian citizen and have the right to live so this idea struck me, that I should write to the prime minister for help," said the little girl, who has been on medicines for years. The Delhi government has directed the Guru Teg Bahadur hospital to begin Taiyyaba's treatment. Her doctor, SK Kalra, said the treatment she needs is not available in Agra and her parents have been advised to take her to Delhi. "When this girl first came to me four to five years back she was diagnosed with congenital heart disease due to which the valves were defected and the big arteries were not in the right place. She often contracts cold and cough, suffers from anaemia, breathlessness and proper growth was not taking place. Her condition required special treatment which is not available in Agra and is quite expensive," Dr Kalra said. The family approached several NGOs in the city for help but could not raise enough money. Taiyyaba is no longer worried now, but she hopes her family never has to go through any trouble again. The Class 3 student wants to be a banker, believing in her heart that it will end all their financial problems
:two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up:. Good job by Modi as well as Delhi government.
