Old guy Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 there is difference between getting used to heat and blaming genes few weeks training and preparation should have taken care of this like some other teams have shown.
Old guy Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 No not really....of course exceptions-Germany and Netherlandas have been absolute beasts.....in a WC there is not a huge margin in the total skill levels of most teams...so you put 2 teams together with the conditions heavily favoring the other team' date='the team playing in unfavorable conditions has to raise their game to a much much higher level to compete[/quote'] then say team is not used to heat genes play no part here..also conditions are same for both teams and its about having stamina to face heat...of course it is advantage for guys who have grown up here but professional athletes get used to this stuff all the time ...few weeks of training and build up would have taken care of this.. its not like there is heat wave..every one knew what weather would be like and where world cup was going to be played.
vvvslaxman Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 dude they are professional atheletes genes and speed at which you can run cannot be changedb ut you can get used to weather there is nothing special about genes of people living in cold climate or hot climate maybe difference in skin color but there is no difference in human genes There is .
maniac Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 there is difference between getting used to heat and blaming genes few weeks training and preparation should have taken care of this like some other teams have shown. So 4 weeks training is enough to get acclimatized to conditions that they are not familiar with their whole lives .....Heat is a factor yes,but is it the biggest factor no not really but cannot totally ignore it. The SOuth American coutries have a little more advantage that's all
vvvslaxman Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 then say team is not used to heat genes play no part here..also conditions are same for both teams and its about having stamina to face heat...of course it is advantage for guys who have grown up here but professional athletes get used to this stuff all the time ...few weeks of training and build up would have taken care of this.. its not like there is heat wave..every one knew what weather would be like and where world cup was going to be played. Costaricas average temperature is 81 degrees year around. Acclimatization plays a big role in such high calorie sports like football
vvvslaxman Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 So 4 weeks training is enough to get acclimatized to conditions that they are not familiar with their whole lives .....Heat is a factor yes,but is it the biggest factor no not really but cannot totally ignore it. The SOuth American coutries have a little more advantage that's all Exactly lol sabby oversimplifies acclimitization
Old guy Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 So 4 weeks training is enough to get acclimatized to conditions that they are not familiar with their whole lives .....Heat is a factor yes,but is it the biggest factor no not really but cannot totally ignore it. The SOuth American coutries have a little more advantage that's all yes its enough to get used to heat and train enough s that it is not factor anymore ..for professional athletes even in olympics its very normal part of job and if you cannot adjust then blame urself and slight advantage is enough ..spain lost to another european team ..i think holland has colder weather than spain ...
BeautifulGame Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 but hwy use it as excuse ? 2 european teams are dominating everyone under same conditions... Who are the 2 European teams dominating? Germany and ?
SLICKR392 Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Weren't teams requesting FIFA to change the times of matches due to the climate? It's basically hot everywhere in Brazil.
vvvslaxman Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 http://www.latimes.com/sports/soccer/la-sp-world-cup-geography-20140608-story.html This was a discussion even before world cup
Old guy Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Exactly lol sabby oversimplifies acclimitization it actually is very simple our bodies are not that different based on climate and few weeks are enough to get used to it its not like guys in colder climate have fur
Old guy Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Who are the 2 European teams dominating? Germany and ? holland ?
vvvslaxman Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 it actually is very simple our bodies are not that different based on climate and few weeks are enough to get used to it its not like guys in colder climate have fur Compare them to someone whose every muscle is side to such weather since they were young.
Old guy Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 http://www.latimes.com/sports/soccer/la-sp-world-cup-geography-20140608-story.html This was a discussion even before world cup discussion ? its sports article..obviously its a factor but not unfair advantage or excuse for playing badly
BeautifulGame Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 holland ? How is huffing and puffing and scrapping to a win against the worst ranked team(Australia) in the world cup dominating?
vvvslaxman Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 discussion ? its sports article..obviously its a factor but not unfair advantage or excuse for playing badly It is not an excuse . It is a factor. It was just an example. During commentary and analysis this was frequently dismissed by all panelists. Sorry I strongly disagree with you
Old guy Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Compare them to someone whose every muscle is side to such weather since they were young. it does not matters how long you stay there some people can get used to it in days and 4 weeks is sufficient enough time.. you are thinking too much about weather ...our bodies are not really evolving like you think . muscles do not really develop differently ...and these athletes already play in much harsher conditions than average body is used to so i do not even get point
Old guy Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 How is huffing and puffing and scrapping to a win against the worst ranked team(Australia) in the world cup dominating? yeah ignore the first game and from what i saw australia played well and baout huffing and puffing so what happened to brazil ? they did not even win and argentina was same ?
Old guy Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 It is not an excuse . It is a factor. It was just an example. During commentary and analysis this was frequently dismissed by all panelists. Sorry I strongly disagree with you i agree its a factor but disagree that you need years and years to get used to it you clearly over estimate the rate at which our bodies develop to climate ..human body has not changed much because of climate and any man can get used to any climate with proper training very quickly specially in case of athletes who have high stamina it stops being factor after some time
