His dive earned him that penalty But for dive that was noway a penalty. It was run of the mill tackle and he was in no position to score a goal from there as he was surrounded by 4 mexican defenders. Theirs 2 different kinds of dives, one is when you exaggerate contact to force the refs into making a call, another is when you make something out of nothing. Their is nothing wrong with the former. Refs look for every excuse available to not make a big call and players are with in their right to force the refs into making a call. The problem with robben is he is guilty of doing both in the same match so he is an easy target. If it was a Mexican player that drew a penatly in the same manner their would be no controversy. He dived thrice did not get penalized even once. Mexicans have reason to feel robbed. They didn't even have time to stage a comeback. Heartbreaking for a side that kept them on the bay for so long.
