Speeds and Performances of Pacers and Spinners

The Saffer bowling attack has lacked pace in the first session.

Over the years, the opening test in SA meant getting accustomed to a lot of hostility. But that has been sorely missing so far.

Rabada has become a yard slower ... Ngidi is medium pace anyway and Jansen is Fast-medium but has lacked that needed intensity so far.

olivier also fast medium pace. jansen actually touches 145. 137-145.

nortje is missed but he can be very expensive too.

What was Jansen's Fastest today ?

I saw lots of 132 k to 136 k balls too.

Most importantly, he has not really hurried batsmen with any regularity despite being so tall and bowling at Centurion.

Bumrah was generating so much pace and bounce ... with accuracy and movement. (  Consitently 138 k to 144 k with zip and bounce )

It is really sad that he twisted his ankle.

Ankle twist takes 2 to 3 months the to recover. Worse than knee. He will be strapped now.
