Trichromatic
Ashwin has to step up in this scenario. He can't be leaking runs from one end and put pressure on pacers when Bumrah isn't bowling. At least hold one end and pick up 1-2 wickets. Siraj, Shami, Shardul will take care of rest. Over the years, the opening test in SA meant getting accustomed to a lot of hostility. But that has been sorely missing so far. Rabada has become a yard slower ... Ngidi is medium pace anyway and Jansen is Fast-medium but has lacked that needed intensity so far. mayank n KL can handle under 140K with less swing , thats why they scored big. i wont be surprised if they score 50's in second innings too. express bowling 1 Link to comment

express bowling
Shami hit the right line and length right away. Kept bowling in good areas while hitting the deck hard. Got consistent seam movement and bounce and zipped the ball through. Used the conditions excellently and led the bowling unit excellently in the absence of Bumrah after his first spell. Well deserved 5 fer and 200 test wickets ! Edited December 28, 2021 by express bowling Mosher, Forward Defence, tweaker and 2 others 5 Link to comment

Great song, worth checking out... from the old movie "Showboat" express bowling and Suhaan 2 Link to comment

express bowling
Bumrah bowled a vicious short ball to Maharaj and had him doubling over after hitting his midriff. And this happened after coming back from injury. He was bowling around 140 k too, so hopefully he is reasonably ok. Mosher, Suhaan and Vijy 3 Link to comment
