Prasidh's last spell was such a downer today. Tried too many things and got nothing right. Hope he makes amends the next time he's in action

After 7 overs bowled with intensity, he totally lost his intensity in his last 2 overs.

And Prasidh has no idea about what a good slower ball is. Should stop using it.

Pitch is very flat.

So, 259 all out for the opposition in still a good bowling effort.

But it may be still quite high for our non-existent batting.

yes, bowling was alright, but a bit inconsistent - siraj being a case in point. Pandu was very good though

The pitch was a very true-bounce one if the pacer bowled good length or slot. And tgere was hardly any movement on offer after the first 4 overs.

Even the short area was true bounce but there was pace and carry.

Many teams would have easily conceded 320+ on this deck. Considering this, I was happy with our bowling.

We all knew it for how obvious it was but Pandya back bowling regularly is a big plus. Gets enough movement if it's there and hits the hard length well combined with the ability to read what the batsman wants to do when he's on the attack. He seems to have matured as well with age and ipl captaincy.

Chahal also has a good series,.has deservedly cemented his place in the loi side after this series. We were scared about what might happen after the 378 chase but the white ball and pitches notwithstanding the bowling has done well to allay our fears and restrict England to very chaseable scores all series.

Hasan Ali has bowled between 79 and 83 mph this test.  Very impressed by his intelligence.  He knows he's going to be the midgetiest of midgets and his pace is never going to be 140 + so he has been extremely accurate, looked to move the ball etc.

Good stuff

it may work in SL, where he can rely on pressure applied by spinners on other end, but it will be badly found out on true bounce pitches as in Oz

I would like the selectors to groom Mohsin Khan for the bowling all-rounder's slot at 8 for white ball cricket.

Shardul may come back at 8 in the playing 11 in the ODIs vs the WI. But he will weaken the hostility of the pace bowling unit that was on display in England.

And hope to see Mohsin play FC cricket too

a pity if shardul comes back. his bowling is roughly on par with Pandu in ODIs, without the benefit of being equally good at batting. has a higher avg and ER, and only SR is better.

would rather see best bowlers play irrespective of their batting

Want to see whether Arshdeep can generate zip and bounce off thd deck on the WI pitches, if he gets a chance.  IMO, this will be the key to his international success.

Does he have a good bumper ?

WI pitches are hard to do this. look at current Bang series. even if he does not do well, one should cut him some slack for this reason.
