Dont ever underestimate the impact of going wicketless with the new ball even if the economy is good. Wickets in hand at the end and with Indian bowlers means you can score near 70-80 runs in the last 6 overs. express bowling and Need4Speed 2 Link to comment

This reminds me of someone, who used to regularly show this "skill" by going at less than 6 per over in PP, only to spill over the milk at the end. His "fans" used to bring his excellent economy to justify his selection in the XI, which evaporated post the Asia Cup and then in T20 WC. rollingstoned, express bowling and Mosher 3 Link to comment

Not just his overs as well that are milked, all the other bowlers as well later in the innings. Its a compounding effect going wicketless in the PP. express bowling 1 Link to comment
Nikhil_cric
I'm interested in Avinash Singh. Another bowler from J&K apparently. Seems to be a clone of Umran - both the good and the bad. Need4Speed, Lone Wolf and vishalvirsingh 3 Link to comment

Hope Kuldeep Sen and Tyagi remain fit...they're 6+ and are fast. Edited February 1 by singhvivek141 speedracer 1 Link to comment

Nahi bhai, I mean if he has some batting ability or some special ability like accurate yorkers, moving the ball at pace..it will be tough for him to jump ahead of the other trundlers Rightarmfast 1 Link to comment

Earlier people used to say Umran is nearly as tall as Shami lol but he turned to be more or less equal to Kohli. I won't be surprised if Avinash is a inch or half a inch taller than Malik.
