Pace bowling backup need a lot more polish. Nobody seems ready to make the main team.

It is not just a question of not bring ready.

None of these 4  ( Mukesh, Avesh, Deshpande and Mukesh ) have any special ability to be top international pacers.

Deshpande looks innocuous despite being sharp and clocking 140 + on occasions.

Lacks natural bounce and isn't that accurate either.

Gave away 10 runs an over today against Zim.

Fecking order meant he was always ahead no matter how trash he is

Khaleel bozo has height and bit of pace as well...but he seems a lazy fellow. Not putting any effort through his shoulders.

They assembling the worst possible pacers and continuosly playing them so that they come good atleast in 1 match

Most of them are continuously played by their domestics sides/IPL sides as well,so they check the fc /experience criteria as well

I don't consider them "backups"...

We wasted this series, should have trusted Harshit Rana.

Khaleel, Avesh, Mukesh, Deshpande all are in 28-31 old...

Need to bring in guys who are under 25 and young.

When am I going to see Mayank Harshit n Bumrah together? FFS.

tushar had some line n length issues today as this was his first Match.

I am sure that he will sort them out tom. you are right , he is not finished product.

But I found him faster than Mukesh Kumar.

avesh had few jaffa's and except for those few balls , all his other balls have been attempts to bowl slow and He has been Hit. bowling slow balls are not his strength and he and Khaleel think that slow balls will make them complete bowlers- where as even in t20 , they need to bowl 60 percent of balls above 140K and the other 30 to 40 percent they can slow down gradually.

slow ball fetish will destroy the careers of avesh , mukesh , tushar , khaleel- all these guys try to bowl slow balls to the extent of 50 % or even more.

combination should be 140 to 148k - 60 %..130- 140-20 percent and under 130k-20 percent

The issue is that Hardik is guaranteed the third pacer slot. Therefore, the second pacer, after Bumrah, needs to be someone who can both open the bowling and bowl at the death. This is why Arshdeep was a perfect complement to Bumrah in the T20 World Cup. The problem is that these faster bowlers are currently bowling the same overs as Pandya who is guaranteed a spot.

For that reason even Mohammed shami sat on the bench in 2 50 over world cups to accommodate Pandya despite being one of the best ODI bowler in the world. These newer  pace bowlers with hardly any domestic cricket behind have no chance.

exactly---

none of these pacers can challenge Siraj or even Arshdeep as of today. Khaleel looks a bit close to Arshdeep though. i feel the best among these 4 is Khaleel but he tries his slow balls a little more often. i was expecting khaleel to destroy ZIMBABWE Batsman as I trusted him to be a better bowler than arshdeep.

Khaleel is fair but he tries his slow balls too often still Khaleel is Good. he has potential to bowl 130 to 145k.

Tushar easily bowls 143k and has potential. same with tushar , he can bowl 130 to 145k..if he can bowl so fast why does he need to try too much.

avesh seems to have potential but he tries a lot of slow balls.

mukesh is a typical 125 to 136k trundler.
