They have already rejected Morkel proposal by Gambhir

Contradictory news. This is a recent article though

I hope Morne Morkel gets the gig. All the assistant coaches over here look good. Nayar - I always heard players credit him in their interviews.

i read in today's news paper that more morkel and ryan ten and abhishek all 3 are kind of finalised.

morne morkel becoming fast bowling coach is great news as his favourite Mayank Yadav will soon get in and he seems to have great skills as far as Bouncers is concerned - he will create some hit the deck bowlers too. i think he will be a very successfull bowling COACH.

  1. navdeep saini
  2. mayank yadav
  3. Khaleel
  4. arshdeep
  5. vyashak
  6. Prasidh
  7. harshit rana

the above bowlers should get a straight advantage and a lot of support from Gautam

why? navdeep and mayank were kind of got lot of support and great words from GG.

Khaleel and Arshdeep are india's 2 left arm fast bowlers with practically no competition( mohsin has fitness issues). i remember GG became crazy and he got SRK's PURSE empty on STARC. Point I am trying to make is GG rates Left arm fast bowlers , even in the team to Lanka , he has picked both the left arm quicks which is like the first time India will have 2 left arm pacers in their 15. clearly shows GG considers left arm quicks highly.

wait n watch...BOOM arshdeep khaleel Mayank yadav playing in a test Match..........it will be fun to see austrlians crying. i will dance on roads watching India beat Australia in Australia and all wickets kangaroo wickets going to INdian fast bowlers.

Vyshak is very ordinary.

Saini is almost 32 and lacks skills for his age.

Both Arshdeep and Khaleel need to work on getting more bounce from good length balls. Both are quite tall and can get it if they bowl with effort. Arshdeep has improved this aspect in this T20 WC.

Khaleel averages 35 after 12 FC games and Arshdeep averages  32 after 19 FC games.

Can't have such  high average bowlers playing test matches.

Left arm pace is an advantage in the opening overs of T20s and not test matches.

I agree atleast average should be sub 28.

Shami had 26 in ranji at his peak

Bumrah around 25

Actually bumrah in ranji was very underrated for some reason.

29 plus is too much. Imo. But do you think high averaging bowlers may do well in sena cause they may suit those pitches better?

See ishant as an example. Ishant was shite in India and ranji. Average there. But did well overseas.

Like him there are a few bowlers we can try out but first they should perform in A tour.

Ishant took 10 years to perform in tests in SENA.

If a high FC average pacer does well in A-team series in SENA then he maybe given a chance in tests in SENA.

BUT

he must have the needed qualities like ability to hit the deck hard accurately and get bounce and seam movement. Do it over after over and bowl with effort. Preferably be 140 k+ too. This is what works in tests and even ODIs in SENA.

Khaleel and Arshdeep are not able to bowl with effort beyond a few overs. They need to practice doing this over after over. Not sure of their ODI success too due to this reason.

CB saying Morkel may get the gig... Though he has young family and that probably is the only thing that can compel him to say no.

Ishant had good ranji stats ,even when he debuted.

vyshak is known for restrictive bowling ..less runs giving.

saini ..i just said if he is still at the peak of his bowling, I have no clue how good is he now a days..i did see him bowling bouncers in IPL.

arsh and khaleel are improving well though none is a finished product for a Test bowler. gg favours starc- I remember GG getting kkr to spend so much money for STARC.

the kind of money he spent clearly indicated GG was mad for left arm quicks and I got a confirmation when I saw ARSH and Khaleel both getting selected ...which is actually a strange call.

everyone knows he loves harshit and even Prasidh and both are good too , if they are bowling well.

Is there any hope at all for prasidh to turn it around? Or is it as good as gone?
